"I won't allow it!" I said firmly, setting my position.
Richard's expression remained unreadable, but I could sense his anger. The last thing he wanted to hear was the suggestion I had made about leaving the pack to become a rogue wolf and letting him take the Alpha position. For him, family honor and the continuation of the pack's legacy were everything.
After a brief pause, he reluctantly relented, shifting his gaze away. "Alright, no need to be so tense. It was just a suggestion. Since you disagree, we'll drop it. But I must tell you, those wanderers from the south are becoming too rampant. According to my sources, they are hunting down other wanderers, gathering forces. It could threaten the decades of peace between the north and south if left unchecked."
