BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP My alarm goes off. I press the sleep button and roll out of my king-sized bed. My feet touch the cold wooden floor as I stand to go close my window. There's frost on the ground I think to myself as I close my window. I take a good stretch before going to my wardrobe and grabbing my school uniform. It consists of a white button-up top, a navy blue dress suit, a red neck tie, and a black pair of 1 1/2 inch heels. God these hurt my feet. Knock knock knock "Who is it?" I ask the person knocking at my door. "It's me," I hear a raspy woman's voice call back. I walk to open my door to stare into the eyes of an older-looking woman who appears to be no taller than 5'4. "What do you need Hellen?" I seeth with a scowl on my face. "I'm sorry to interrupt you ma'am, but it appears your mother won't be here the rest of the week..." she stares at the floor as she speaks. Of course, when is she ever home? "What did you make for breakfast?" I ask, fuming. "I ma-" I cut her off. "Nevermind, I'll grab an apple on my way out." I turn back towards my bed and grab my bag which hangs on the footboard. Hellen has by now walked away and I hurry to get downstairs. I see my brother sitting at the table actually eating the crap Hellen made. "You disgust me," I look at him in disbelief. "You know she's not actually as bad as you think she is," my brother, Lucas, frowned. "You know she's not actually as bad as you think she is. Grow up." I scold. Since my mom's gone for the week that means I have to catch a ride with my brother and whomever he decides he's going to drive. I grab an apple from the fruit bowl and turn towards the front door, starting to walk. "Let's go or we're gonna be late!" I call to him, grabbing his keys off the coat rack and unlocking the car. He hurries out after me, hearing his car being unlocked. "Uh-uh back seat little girl," He says. "Um...why?" I ask, confused. "I'm picking up Anthony on the way to school." "You're so lame," I grunt, opening the back door to the driver's side. We start driving and I put my headphones in, blocking out whatever nonsense I don't want to hear. I have known Anthony since I was five. He and my brother have been really close due to the fact they like the same things. They both like sports, they both like girls, they both like rap music. Anthony and I, we're like polar opposites. He's so annoying and ugh- We take a familiar left and I take an earbud out. We've reached Anthony's house. We see Anthony walk from his porch to the car and open the passenger door, hopping in. "What's up Lucas?!" He says, enthusiastically. "Hey!" Lucas responds. Anthony then looks at me. "Hey beautiful," He wiggles his eyebrows and smirks. I roll my eyes and put my earbud back in. See? Complete nonsense. My brother elbows him before pulling out of the driveway. We drive for another 15 minutes before we arrive at our school. When I feel us pull in I unfasten my seatbelt, take out my earbuds, and grab my bag. I wait for him to park before I get out of the car. A group of girls comes towards me with big smiles on their face's. "Oh my, what is it?" I ask my friends. "You will never believe it!!" Olivia says. Olivia is an average height, medium skin tone, dark-haired girl. "I'd believe it if you told me already," I say in excitement, anticipation running through my veins. Olivia, Alice, and Brooke all squeal for a moment before calming themselves. "What?!" I ask again, more paranoid. "Well..." Olivia starts. "WE HEARD TYLER LIKES YOU!!" Brooke spits out before covering her mouth as if she was just as shocked as I was that she said it. "Pfft. Yea, right. Good one guys. You almost got me," I chuckle to my own sad realization. "We're not lying!" Alice says. They all point to Tyler who is already staring at me so I look away fast. "What the hell guys?!" I say, obviously flustered. We leave the parking lot and head to my locker so I can put my things away. I notice them slowly walking away and I hear my locker slam shut. s**t. I am pinned between my locker and a brilliant face. Tyler. "Hey gorgeous." He says, a sly smirk playing at his lips. I nod, not sure of what to do in this situation. "Quite the friends you have there." He says, leaning closer. "I agree, quite the friends," I say, resting my hands on his chest to prevent him from getting closer. He leans into my ear and whispers, "They're right you know, you're so f*****g lovely." I blush, a bright red color spreading across my face. "Tyler enough with the facade. It's obvious your faking." I stammer. "Why would I be faking angel? I'll see you after school." He winks at me then walks off. My friends are still nowhere to be seen and I feel light-headed. I have the things I need for my classes and hurry to get to my period 1 before I'm late.
