Chapter 22
Alex’s POV
We are in my truck driving back to the house, both kids are sleeping in the back seat. We spent the day doing anything Addie wanted to do. We went to the Zoo then when we were done there we went to the mall. That little girl can shop haha. Then of course out to dinner, it’s now 8:30pm and everyone is exhausted and happy. I had the most amazing time just being a normal family. I pick up Hayley’s hand that I'm holding and kiss it as we pull into my driveway.
“Do you guys want to just stay tonight? I can set Addie up in one of the spare bedrooms.” I ask. My chest is pounding hoping she will say yes.
“I think that would be nice, Addie is exhausted I don’t want her to have to make the trip back to our house also.” She replies with a smile.
