“It’s been almost thirty minutes. You haven’t picked anything?”
“For the millionth time, can you just keep quiet? You don’t have to say a word, okay?” Ava hissed for the nth time. They had been going on like that since her mother let them be.
‘Pick anything and I’ll rate it.’
Does he rate all the lingerie of the women she slept with?
Ava shook her head. Just the thought of it was so disturbing. She did not want to think about it.
“Gross.” She shook her head.
“I’m sorry?” She heard him ask.
“Nothing.” She mumbled, picking up a white lacy pair of underwear.
“That’s sexy enough.” He commented.
“I don’t need your opinion. Just keep quiet, okay?” She tried to be calm, but it was so impossible when she was she already lost her good mood. She could feel the staff in the shop staring at them. She just hoped nobody was taking pictures of her with her and the bodyguard was starting to get under her skin.
“Fine, fine. The red one is sexier, though.”
She almost slapped the bra she was holding right to his face, but he took a step back and held his hands before she could do that. She squinted her eyes at him. It annoyed her, even more, when she saw him just looking at her with that smile on his face.
He needs to stop smiling at me like that.
He was about a meter and a half away from her and she wanted to pinch him badly, not in cuteness but father in annoyance.
“Why did you put it down?”
Ava closed her eyes as she just put the red pair down She gritted her teeth before looking up and glaring at him. She took the white pair with her and went to her Mom who was just about to pay.
“Only one?” Her mom asked her, surprised.
“I’ll wait for you at LV.” That was all she said before walking away and out of the store. Of course, she felt him following her.
“Where are you going?”
She heard him ask. She did not reply and continued walking towards her favorite bags. She walked into the store and started looking for something she might like. She saw a limited edition and she picked it right away without hesitation. It was the Louis Vuitton White Leather Limited Edition Mars 2015 Alma PM Bag. The limited-edition bag was part of the Fall/Winter 2015 collection, crafted from leather it has unique print on the exterior. The bag features a leather key holder, dual top handles, and protective metal feet at the bottom. The double zip closure opened to a roomy interior that would safely keep her belongings. The flawless bag had seen many versions but Ava thought it would always remain a worthy investment.
“Oh, that’s cute. Do you want that?” Ava almost jumped when her mother just stood beside her.
“Yeah and I’m paying for it.” She told her.
“Of course, you are. Who says I’m going to pay for that?”
They heard a snort and they looked at Zephyr who was acting innocent while looking around. He must have thought her mother was a savage.
“I’m just going to pay for this.” She muttered before going to pay for the job.
Zephyr watched Ava walked towards the counter to pay for the bag she liked and now he was left alone with Julia.
“Hernandez. Isn’t that Mexican?”
“It is, Ma’am.”
“I am a Cortes.”
“You’re Mexican?” Zephyr asked, pretending to be surprised even though he already knew she was Mexican.
“Yeah. Donde en México?” (Where in Mexico?) She asked.
“Ciudad de México.” Zephyr replied.
“Oh, same. I grew up there.” She smiled.
“So…” Julia trailed off.
Zephyr felt uncomfortable. He knew what was going to happen next when women started to sound like that. They were going to curious.
“What do you think of my daughter?”
I knew it.
Zephyr thought as he cleared his throat. His eyes were already focused at Ava though. She was taking a card out of her long wallet from her bag. He just realized how simple yet she looked in her outfit. Her curves were showing, making him a little bit jealous because she could get someone’s attention easily with how she dressed up. The high heck racerback top she was wearing was cropped, showing a bit of skin.
“She’s a Greek goddess,” Zephyr whispered, completely lost in her beauty especially when she turned around and they clocked eyes. His eyes never left her when she started walking towards him and her mother. He found himself getting lost in the blue depths of her eyes until she finally reached them.
“Hey, were you talking about me?” Ava asked. “I felt like you were talking about me.”
“Keep dreaming.” Her mother scoffed and started heading out of the store.
Zephyr pursed his lips as he walked right beside while following after Julia. Her mother was damn savage.
“You can laugh at me. Why are you holding it back?”
“I am holding back nothing.” He cleared his throat and took a deep breath. “Where are you going?”
“I don’t know,” Ava muttered.
“We’re getting food,” Julia said with her back to them. She must have heard them.
This is going to be really loud.
Ava thought, already imagining how lunch would turn out together with her Mom and Zephyr. Both are Mexican.
