Passing through the corridors I found that I jumped at every single noise. The people in the open plan offices on the ground floor seemed to be completely unaware of what was happening on the floors below them and I was reluctant to fight my way through them to get out. Unfortunately that meant that we had to be careful not to draw any attention to ourselves. That was something that was relatively easy when there were only two of us but much more difficult now that there were over a hundred of us. Getting all of them to move out of sight when someone was approaching was almost impossible.
