Amanda 's new boyfriend

After Amanda left Paul 's house, he called Henry and told him about his transfer and how he decided to give up on Amanda. He didnt tell Amanda about the break-up fearing that it would break her heart. He wanted to take distance as an excuse for them for not meeting. Again he couldnt completely break-up with her. That night he couldnt sleep well thinking about her. Amanda too couldn't fall asleep thinking about him.

The following day Paul moved to another city and Amanda thought that they will never meet. A week later she met Richard who was the new boy at school. He was Amanda 's classmate and a neighbors in the community where they lived. He was so handsome and from a well of family. He was famous among the female students that school because of his charm.

After school Amanda went to the supermarket to buy sanitary pads and was passing by Richard 's place.

"Hey beautiful where are you going?" He asked.

" I am going to the supermarket. " She replied.

Amanda knew him because they were in the same class but she never talked to him.

" Can I go with you? " he asked again

" Yes you can "she replied. Richard accompanied Amanda to the supermarket.

" My name is Richard Soils and I am from the A city. I know you are Amanda. I know your name because you are famous at school. Genius girls like you are known by everybody " he said.

" I am new here and I hope we can be friends since we are already classmates and neighbors. You can show me around when you have time." he added.

Richard was the only one talking with Amanda noting her head most of the time until they reach the supermarket. Amanda bought only sanitary pads while Richard bought a lot of snacks. On their way back Richard asked Amanda if she wants to it the snack or she would eat them when got home. He told her that all the snacks were for her. She was surprised that Richard has bought her snacks. He said that he was missing his sister then Amanda reminded him of his sister and suddenly he wanted to take care of her. Amanda was convinced by his response.

Her father and sister were not at home therefore she took snacks home to eat with her little sister. The following day Amanda came home from the school and met Richard again. He was with his roommate Albert.

"Amanda I want to tell you something." he said.

Amanda stopped and listened to him.

"I don't want Albert to hear it"

Amanda moved close to Richard and was curious. He took a pair of diamond earrings from his pocket. He wanted to put them on her ears but she took a step back.

"what are you doing" Amanda Asked.

"Amanda I have this pair of earrings and as a friend I want to give them to you. I want to thank you for taking me to the supermarket yesterday."

" There is no need, besides you bought me snacks."

"Amanda can you please accept my present, I am going to need more of your help in the future and I don't want to feel guilty while asking for your assistance."

Amanda reluctantly accepted the earrings, she was curious as why Paul did many things for her.
