Chapter 24: Cold
A month had passed after the scene Lambert had caused during the Grand Ball, breaking tons of women’s hearts when he declared his feelings for Rina in front of everyone. A month had passed already when Rina had felt kilig… she once thought that she was just dreaming. But now, she is wondering and hesitating to believe if it really did happen.
“Maybe Lambert had gotten used to her already.”, one student whispered, it was loud enough for Rina to hear it. Maybe she was being intentional. Rina frowned with what she heard.
“I bet so. Haha! Lambert doesn’t seem serious about her though.”, another woman commented loudly, without any pretentions of hiding her thoughts despite Rina being there with them.
“Maybe it was just a prank!”, another one laughed, inducing louder laughte
