Rhea's P. O. V
I nearly banged my head against the counter extension when Martha suddenly yelled out my name. "Rhea! Rhea! Where's that useless little scass(barren woman)?Rhea!" My entire body panics at the sound of her wicked voice and it's a reaction I can never stop myself from having.
I freeze in shock before wiping off my hands on my worn out turtle neck and getting up from the floor. I take a deep breath to stop myself from shaking but my muscles are barely carrying me and I know that I won't be able to walk fast enough to get there before she has to come find me. I abruptly take a spin and immediately regret it as I lose balance on the slippery floor and fall flat on my face, my chin breaking my fall.
I cry out in pain as I bite my tongue. Great, now I have a torn tongue and a bleeding lip as well.
"How many times does she want me to call her name? Does she want to curse my lips by making me say her cursed name?!" Martha's voice sounds to be closer, that makes me immediately get startled enough to take action.
I run over to the omega training hall where I know I should've been had Taylor not forced me to clean up her mess. The little witch had spilled an entire pot of stew all over the kitchen counters and floors all because she saw a bare corn cob and it, I quote, "triggered her trypophobia".
"It's all your fault baboon face! Clean this up right now!" She shrieked at me, her high pitched voice nearly shattering my eardrums. Taylor was such a cliche, she literally walked out of a classical high school mean girl movie and she fit the stereotype so well you'd swear she invented it.
I kept my head lowered and didn't say anything. I didn't want to get accused of provoking her with my "nasty, cursed voice" but saying nothing was not always a safe card, she still ended up slapping me hard across the face.
"Why are you just standing there, you hideous freak? Clean this up!" She barked at me while tossing my head around.
"Bu- but I'm not the one who made the soup." I mumbled out and that as expected, only made her ger more angry.
"Don't you dare play dumb! You know you bring upon misfortune wherever you go you wicked creature. Of course my favourite dress just had to get ruined on the day Alpha Hastien arrives because I ran into you! You don't have to be so jealous of me, you'll never ever be on my level, one ruined dress is not going to make you less gross and hideous. Clean this up right now! "She made a point to shove me to the ground, I don't know, to get revenge by getting soup all over my clothes as well.
"Please Taylor, I'll clean up later, Martha-" I screamed as she slammed her heel into my fingers.
"Shut up! Stop letting that cursed voice leave your mouth, I can't have you ruining my day! Clean this up or I swear I'll end you!" Taylor stomped on my hand one last time before walking away with much drama in her gait.
Out of all people, I hated being in the presence of the Alpha Baron's darling princess the most. Taylor being the alpha's last born and only girl child meant that she was excessively spoiled and as bratty as they come. Ever since she turned twenty she's been an even bigger nightmare because that means she'll finally find her mate and participate in the Black Paw Luna Trials because ohh everyone wants to become the mighty Alpha Hastien's Luna.
Taylor in every sense believes that he'll choose her and that has made her even more obnoxious. Now she thinks everyone is beneath her and disposable, even those who were delusional enough to think she's their friend.
I bowed my head at Martha and brought my trembling hands together, staring at her feet is less nerve wrecking than staring at her rather muscular, taut chest.
"Why are you only getting here now, you wicked abomination!" Martha suddenly exclaimed loudly, quickly turning away and covering her eyes.
"What are you trying to do? Are you trying to curse me with your hideousness?! Oh my eyes have never been so assaulted! Cover that hideous face right now!"
I immediately realised my mistake, in my panic I had forgotten to wear my mask and I knew I was going to be punished severely for it.
