CHAPTER FOUR: Low Grade Slut Ari's P. O . V "Please let me go, Hayden. I didn't… I didn't hear yo-" I was forced to swallow the rest of my lies when his burly hand coiled around my neck and he gave a warning squeeze. "f*****g liar! At least that wicked, good for nothing b***h of a mother of yours was a great liar." He snare with renewed rage and I started to panic and tried shoving him away but he remained as steady as an erected brick wall, my strength was absolutely nothing compared to brutish alpha strength. "Let me go!" I unloaded punches on his muscular chest and he barely flinched. I exerted myself so much only for him to seize both my hands and pin them above my head. My heart nearly jumped out of my throat! Everything about this scene right here felt so wrong. "Let me go! Seriously! I need to clean Alpha-" "I don't f*****g care," tiny shivers shot up my spine when his face descended upon mine and he tilted, positioning his lips close to my ear, "you're going to Frill to collect a package for me and you're going to-" "Frill!" I cut him off in clear objection. Frill is a three hour drive away, if I go there I'll miss my exam and my last chance to escape this Hellhole! If the miss the exam then I'll be kicked off the transfer list on the foreign program and won't get to finish off my degree far, far away from here. There is still a chance to resit after six months but that'll require money and connections I don't have. I can't afford to mess this up, otherwise I'll die here. Hayden can't do this to me. "I can't, not today, please, Frill's too far away, if I go I'll miss my exam and-" I was silenced by his chuckles, he laughed as though I'd cracked a joke. I frowned deeply, confused. "You really think you have a future, don't you! I don't even know who they let you go to school when you're the most stupid b***h I've ever met." His hand returned to my neck and his voice became firmer, more venomous, more frightening. "Don't you ever say any word other than yes when I tell you to do something, do you understand me? If you ever want to set foot in DTU again then you'll do as I say… huh… And Candace thinks I should treat you better." I held my breath, squeezing my eyes shut when his face got close, too close for me to function properly. His hot breath fanned my face, awakening my pores and sending chilly tingles up my spine. Oh goddess, what is he doing? "Don't think you can seduce me," I flinched in shock when he suddenly zipped up my tank top, "you're not my type at all, I'm not like my father, I won't fall for a pathetic, low grade slut." Then he just left me there; humiliated and demoralized. I wasn't even trying to …. I clutched my chest, my heart felt like it was seconds away from exploding out of it. Wow it hurts. As soon as I left the guest toilet I received a text from Hayden. "Take the car outside. The package is already in transit, you better not be late." The second text was a location pin. I so badly wanted to text back and tell him I can't drive to Frill, I was aching to let him know that he's not all that and I would never ever even dare try to seduce him or say anything that could pass off as flirtatious, but I bit back my anger and walked to the main entrance. It's not like any good would have came out of me giving him a piece of my mind. I didn't want to do anything to feed his ridiculous justifications for hating me and I surely did not need his punishment. Going to Frill is going to cost me a lot. I won't be able to finish cleaning the Alpha's bedroom on time and I'm going to miss my exam. I thought about it long and hard as I drove and there was no salvaging this. I could not split myself into two, neither did I have anyone I trusted enough to go to Frill in my place. Hayden has succeeded in ruining yet another thing for me. At this point I should resent him far more than he resents me. Thanks to the f*****g traffic and terrible Road- rage incidents, wolves have the shortest tempers I tell you- I made it to Frill in three hours and five minutes despite me speeding like a maniac on open roads and taking shortcuts. When I got to the pickup point the delivery van was already waiting and the whole set- up just didn't look right. I really don't understand why I had to be the one to pick up this package when there's delivery service and he has f*****g drivers and thousands of servants he can order around. I began to get skeptical, what if this is a trap? Did he know about the exam? Was he doing this on purpose to sabotage me so I'll never leave Fallen Crest? I introduced myself to the two men in one of Hayden's company's uniform and they wasted no time making me sign and giving me the package. "You better get going, you're going to be late and the boss doesn't take well to tardiness." One of the shabby, lanky ones said to me with an unsettling knowing look in his eyes. I didn't say anything to him, I simply secured the medium sized box and put it in the car. It had some weight to it too, not particularly heavy but weighty and it was marked as fragile so I had to be extra cautious with it. I drove to the drop- off point which was at a manor thirty minutes outside of Frill. I parked in front of the garden and walked out with the package. I noticed the garage was open and a sleek, black sportscar and a big red SUV were parked inside so I went to check I could leave the package there. As soon as I got close enough, I was stunned to see Candace and Hayden locked in a heated make- out session. ●♤●
