I was woken up by an incessant vibration that had manifested itself in my nightmares as thunderous, guttural, furious growls coming from a creature I had never seen before. Alpha Landon had transformed into a beast of a peculiar, grotesque monstrosity and he was hunting me down in the Residence. I lifted my head too quickly and a throbbing pain pierced through my temples.
