Alessia had been told since she was old enough to comprehend words that she was stolen from a hospital and thrown out on the streets and had Donna, her adoptive mother and her husband Damien, her father not taken her and adopted her, she would have died. When she could not turn when she turned ten, they started doubting if she was wolf and told her going to Hiltonstern to discover her true identity. Except they didn't involve her in the planning and ask of her opinion.

"Stop looking at that thing and come help me." Donna couldn't help but harden her voice at her daughter. It was the busiest time of day at the agency and Alessia was of no help whatsoever.
"Mom, do I really have to go? How come you've never mentioned that you had another brother?" Alessia whined as another statement was thrown her way and began skimming over it.
"If I had a choice you would've never had to meet that man, but you have to stay there for the next few months, after that I'd have figured something out. Don't ask me about him, our relationship is very complicated." Alessia frowned and furrowed her brows at her mother's word.
" If your relationship is that complicated, what makes you think he's going to agree to take me in? I'm just a niece he's probably never even heard of."
Alessia had never been more confused her entire life! Her mother had done a lot of impulsive, inexplicable things and always expected her to just follow along with her plans without saying a word, but she had never sacrificed her to hell like this. When her mother told her that she had to move in with her estranged brother, she was thinking that she was joking with her or trying to scare her into changing her major, but she was damn serious. Moving in with her new uncle wouldn't have been much of a big deal if the man didn't happen to be the devil himself; Dane Kelhart.
Dane Kelhart was a beast in human skin. The Dark Lord of Hiltonstern had a reputation to make even the most hardened men shiver and she was no exception. She had heard all sorts of bad, very bad things about him and whenever she brought that up with her mother, she shrugged it off as though she was just throwing around baseless gossip.
"He's your uncle, he'll not send you away, I'm sure of it." Her mother sure sounded confident.
Alessia stomach couldn't stop doing backflips every time she looked at the plane ticket. She'd be flying seven hours away, that was too far from home.
"What's wrong? What's with that face huh?" Her mother suddenly spoke from behind her, startling her. Alessia sighed deeply and shrunk into her chair. She took the ticket and shoved it back into her purse.
"Mom..." She began in a small voice, worried her mom will find her cowardly and ridiculous. "Mom... I seriously don't want to go there, please don't make me go, I'm your only daughter, please... Please... I'm really scared of that man... He's the Devil."
Donna hugged her daughter from behind and kissed her cheek. "Honey, what's the worst thing he can do to you?"
Alessia could think of a lot of things, so many things that are unspeakably horrible. Maybe she had to plead one last time?
"Please, mom... Please... Why can't I just move with you? I'll go wherever you're going, please, I'll quit school completely, just don't make me go there."
"it's okay, sweetheart," her mother hushed her and she thought she'd finally came around, "I really wish things didn't have to be this way either but you have to go, it's the best decision I can make for your sake. I will arrange for someone to pick you up from the airport and drive you straight to Dane's. It might seem like a lot right now but very soon you'll accept and adjust to your situation."
Alessia was utterly defeated. She couldn't cry about it like she did last time. Her mother wasn't changing her mind. She was doomed!

Alessia finally landed in Fernrin and found herself in the heart of Hiltonstern. She nervously looked around for the person her mother had assigned to pick her up after she collected her luggage. After walking through the busy airport, she was jetlagged and emotionally burdened and her supposed chauffeur service wasn't here yet. Just as she was about to call her mother, an imposingly tall, very well dressed, very dangerous looking man waved her over with barely an expression on his face. Alessia tilted her head back and checked behind her because there was no way the handsome man in an all black, expensive designer suit was actually trying to get her attention, right? Alessia kept looking for the nonexistent person he was calling until she felt large hands engulf hers and quickly whipped her neck to face the person who had just rudely snatched her suitcases. A shiver ran down her spine when her eyes met the most chilling, cold yet hauntingly gorgeous blue eyes she's ever seen. The owner of those eyes looked like one cold- hearted bastard alright, like he was better suited to being a grim reaper or demon lord. For a second she did wonder if it was the Devil of Hiltonstern himself.
What if.... She began trembling.
"Uncle Dane?" She wheezed out, casting her eyes to the floor. She could just feel those emotionless eyes piercing into her and she already couldn't bear it.
"No." The deepest, velvety, well controlled voice came out of his mouth and enhanced her terror. "Follow me to the car."
Okay, so if he wasn't Dane Kelhart, then he had to be his right hand.
Alessia followed him to the underground parking area and awed at the black g-wagon she was going to ride in. This was clearly no ordinary chauffeur service, she thought her mother had called a cab... Who was this man? As he loaded up her suitcases, Alessia just stood awkwardly beside him until he walked up to the driver's side, opened the door and then bore his eyes into her. Alessia gulped and nervously opened the back door on his side and he made an exasperated sound and slammed it shut before she could fully open it. Before she could say a word, he grasped her wrist and dragged her to the front passenger side,, opened the door and carried her inside. Alessia nearly screamed when he lifted her up so effortlessly.
Before she could even wonder if she was being kidn*pped, he was already inside and strapping on his seatbelt. Alessia stole a brief side glance at him and her heart started racing. This strange man was so hot, like ridiculously hot, if he wasn't so intimidating and frightening, she would've been breathless and crushing on him real bad already.
"Seatbelt."His voice nearly had her jolting up.
" ohh... "Was the only sound she was capable of making. She continued to fiddle with the strap in vain until he had to lean into her and help her with it. Oh shr nearly died when his face descended upon hers! Her heart nearly burst when his warm breath lightly fanned her ear for that half- second. Then he carried on driving like nothing had happened.
Who the hell was this man? Was he sure he wasn't Dane Kelhart? If he was, then she was f****d, seriously f****d!
"I see Dane has found himself some new prey." The hot, mysterious stranger finally had an expression on his face and it wasn't a good one. That unmistakable look of devilish menace made her stomach churn wildly.
"What?" She blurted out helplessly.
"You have no idea what you're walking into, little bunny. Do you know what he does to pretty little things like you?"
Now she was exponentially scared, now her brain was beginning to fog with fear. She gulped nervously and used all her frail strength to stutter out," He- he- he's - mm- he's my uncle."
His response was a laugh unlike any other. Oh how irresistibly handsome he looked when he laughed like that, oh how abominably cruel and dangerous he looked when his eyes raked down her body like that!
Why was he laughing? Was what she said so laughable? What did that laugh mean?
