Lena's POV Everything happened too fast for my mind to catch up. The window behind me exploded in a burst of glass, sharp shards showering across the room. Instinct made me duck, but hands were already grabbing me, pulling me away from the spot where the glass had been. My heart slammed against my ribs, loud and wild, drowning out every other sound. “Get behind me!” Jax’s voice was sharp, shaking with urgency.
