The door to my dorm room slammed shut. “Is that what I am to you, Liam?” Jax’s words were a jagged blade on repeat in my mind. I pulled out my phone. My thumb hovered over Jax’s contact. I had called him four times since leaving the rink. Each time, it went straight to voicemail. "Pick up, Jax. Please," I whispered to the dark room. Nothing.
