TW Mention of Blood and Violence and someone being shot, therapy is mentioned too.

Sierras Pov
(Flashback)
Tyler threw me into the security room, pissed I didn't take him to see Myka, I felt a whack and pressed my hand to my head, blood pooled out. I started becoming hazy, my vision blurry, my eyes involuntarily began to close, the darkness took over, I wasn't unconscious though I could still hear everything, my eyes just refused to open it was as if my body was telling me that I needed to fake being unconscious.
I heard Tyler talking to someone on the phone. He mentioned something about a plan and that his first one failed. Then I heard footsteps, someone else had joined us but no one knew we were here. That's when I heard Theo, trying to convince Tyler to let me go, I'm glad he found me. I opened my eyes at the sound of his voice, and he pulled his phone out, showing me that he dialled 911. I had to pretend I was still unconscious, I shut my eyes and returned to my position, Tyler had calmed down more now. I felt myself get picked up off the floor and walked outside, the cold air nipped at my nose. It was like minus five that night, I heard a bunch of noise and then a gunshot, and then everything went black.
(Back to present day)
A whole three months had passed, and I attended the necessary therapy for me to regain my memory, I had routine check ups, that night was still engrained in my head. Tyler had shot Theo but instead of hitting Theo the bullet hit me, I don't remember anything after that and my memories were hazy, thinking back to it I was such a bad mother forgetting my own daughter.
My therapist instructed Theo to jog my memory daily with items and pictures which for the last three months Theo had been consistent he had taken the time off work which was a huge deal for him since he was a workaholic, between taking care of Myka he was jogging my memory.
I almost remembered everything, there was some things still unanswered, like why Tyler was so hostile to me, the night of the accident, Tyler got arrested and bailed, he had a court case soon which I'd need to attend, unfortunately. My gunshot wound healed nicely.
Today was the first time we were going out together as a family, Me, Theo, and Myka. I could feel my nerves getting the better of me. We strapped Myka into her buggy and headed out, we walked a couple of blocks to the local park.
"Mama, Slide." Myka babbled.
Her speech was amazing now, she couldn't say full sentences but she was getting there, I scooped her up and placed her at the top of the slide, Theo stood at the bottom waiting to catch her, I listened to her giggling and squealing, I watched Theo push her on the swings, he had so much love for her, that's when I realised I loved Theo, I was in love with him, just like before.
I ran to the pair and kissed both their cheeks, Theo beamed a smile, and Myka giggled. We headed for coffee after the park, Myka seemed exhausted from all the playing she was doing, and I entered the coffee shop with Theo and Myka. Tia, of course, worked here.
"Sierra." She smiled.
"Tia." I returned her smile.
"You work here now?" I asked.
"Well, I work two jobs, I have a baby to pay for." Tia explained.
"Since when?" I asked.
"Since a month ago, I found out I was pregnant." She smirked.
"Well, congratulations to you and the father. Could I get the usual, please?" I smiled.
"Sure." She poured my coffee, and we grabbed a table.
Theo and I sat talking about the recent events mainly my feelings for him, mid conversation I heard Tyler's voice, I thought it was a bad day dream since I had PTSD from that day, but it wasn't he was there at the counter clear as day, I began to panic, Tyler approached us.
"f**k off." Theo snapped.
"I came to apologise." Tyler began.
"Why?" I snapped.
"I have a baby on the way, I don't want to spend the birth in jail like the last time." Tyler explained.
"Have you forgotten what you did?" I snapped again.
"No, I've been getting therapy and anger management." Tyler continued.
"Why not do that when we were together, why are you stepping up for this child but you couldn't for Myka?" I questioned.
"Because I knew if I was in her life when I was still as messed up as I was that she would end up with children's services." Tyler replied.
"You're not forgiven, you made me lose my memory, I lost the memory of my daughter!" I remarked.
"I can only begin to apologise." Tyler replied.
He glanced at Myka, a hurt in his eyes and then he turned away from us and walked out of the coffee shop.
"Do you believe him?" Theo asked.
"No." I replied.
"Me either, he's up to something." Theo continued.
I finished my coffee and headed out with Theo and Myka, we took a shortcut back home, across a baseball field, I noticed Theo swaying as he walked. Then I started doing it, then I fell to the ground with a thud, everything went fuzzy, then I saw him through blurred eyes, Tyler grabbing Myka.
"Theo, Myka." I tried to point but I was too weak.
Theo couldn't react because he had been drugged too, Tia did it when we were at the coffee shop, she must have, I thought everything was over. I tried fumbling for my phone, I dialled 911.
"My ex, took baby, send help." I weakly explained.
"Where are you?" I heard the operator ask.
"I don't know." I replied.
The line went dead, after a few minutes I heard sirens, someone was shaking me.
"Wake up, please don't leave me." Theo sobbed.
"Theo." I muttered.
"It's me, Tyler's got Myka." He replied hastily.
"I know. I tried to stop him." my voice now a whisper.
"I'm sorry it's all my fault." I sobbed.
"No it's not. It's Tyler he's a psychopath." Theo replied.
Some time had passed. I had a drug test at the hospital, and the police had questioned me and Theo about our past and any drug abuse. Obviously, we both said no.
The police went on a hunt for Tyler and searched the coffee shop where Tia worked. Tia had fled she was nowhere to be found.
I felt my phone buzz. It was an unknown number I flicked to answer the call.
"If you want to see Myka again. I want one million dollars brought with you when you come to collect her. I'll send you the location later when I know it's clear." The line went dead.
We took the evidence straight to the police. The officer on the case told us to go through with it but give them the location, and they were sending us with fake money as a decoy so they could arrest Tyler and Tia.
I received a text with Myka's location a few hours later. It was nightfall now around ten pm, so no one would see us easily.
I climbed into Theo's car with Theo, and we headed to the location. I knew he wanted me alone, so I made Theo wait in the car.
The location he had Myka at was an old shipping yard. There was a boat waiting for him. I walked down the crooked old rickety dock into the yacht, which sat docked there.
"Hello." I called out.
Tyler emerged from a back bedroom.
"Have you got the money?" He snapped.
"Yup. It's all here." I replied.
"Hand it over." He demanded.
"I will, but I want to ask you a few questions first." I explained.
"Okay. Make it quick." He snapped again.
"Why did you take Myka, Why did you hurt me, and why did you take either this far. If you wanted to see her, it could have been done in a more peaceful manor." I replied.
"I wanted your attention. I still love you, and you have two choices. Leave with me on this boat, me you and Myka, can be a family again. Or you can take Myka, but I can't promise you'll leave alive." He sneered.
"Okay. I'll come with you, but can I at least take Myka to say goodbye to Theo he has been her father since she was born?" I smiled.
"Sure. Quickly." He hissed.
I hurried with Myka in my arms up the dock. Shielding my precious child from any harm. The police had arrived while I was on the boat. I passed Myka to Theo and headed onto the boat with two officers.
"Tyler, let's go." I called out.
I headed to the room he had entered. I saw him sat there with a manic look in his eyes. He stood up and raised his gun to my head. Holding me in front of the police like a hostage.
"Let her go." One officer called out.
"No." Tyler snapped.
"Let her go and come quietly." The second officer tried to reason with him.
"Tyler, listen to me. Whatever has happened, we can help you. Just let me go. Our girl needs her mother." I pleaded.
He released me from his grip. Sadness and guilt filled his eyes. The officers cuffed Tyler. As he was being escorted out, I stopped him for a second.
"Where's Tia?" I asked.
"No idea. She was meant to be here but didn't turn up." Tyler explained.
He was shoved into a police care and driven away. I climbed back into Theo's car. Theo had Myka tightly holding her, making sure she was okay.
"Baby girl, are you okay?" I nuzzled her soft hair.
"Mama, dada sad." She babbled.
"Dada will be okay, princess. Let's go home." I smiled.
