TW Mention of blood and people being shot.
Tyler was jailed for six years for kidnapping and a bunch of other felonies. Tia was still on the run. I got a call from my mother this morning as I was making Myka pancakes.
"Tyler's bond has been paid." She explained.
"What?! How? It was for a million dollars. Who paid it?" I asked.
"Your father." She replied.
"That son of a..." I yelled.
"Look, he gave Tyler conditions. He leaves you and myka alone. He paid his bond so that he could see the birth of this child." My mother explained.
"Tia's still on the run. She doesn't want to be found. Has dad lost the plot?" I remarked.
" I don't know, but I'm not happy he's done this." She replied.
"It's fine. I'll talk to Theo. Love you. Bye." I hung up the phone.
I called Theo down from upstairs. He came rushing down as fast as he could.
"My dad's paid Tyler's bond." I blurted.
"What. He hasn't even been in prison long." Theo remarked.
"He's been in for 6 months. My father was doing him a favour, apparently." I replied.
"I'm going to give your father a piece of my mind." Theo snapped.
"Don't. Let's just see what happens, okay?" I suggested.
"Okay." He smiled. Dropping his shoulders.
I felt bad for Theo he had taken on so much the last year. He took on a single mother and her baby, then all of my baggage with Tyler, and then he had to deal with my kidnapping and our daughters abduction. But somehow, for some reason, he stayed by my side.
Weeks had passed, and we had nothing from Tyler or my father. Theo had planned a day out at the park. We headed to the park. Myka had already fallen asleep. Who could blame her things had been crazy recently.
We stopped at a spot that had some ducks swimming in a pond with a tree overhanging. Theo turned to me and smiled. Then he did what I wasn't expecting. He got down on one knee and held out a ring box.
"Marry me?" He smiled.
"Yes!" I squealed, throwing my arms around his neck.
Things seemed to be looking up for us. That was until I found something that revealed the truth.
Theo had been lying to me. He was paying Tia for what I wasn't sure about yet. I needed to find out. Tia had disappeared, so I couldn't ask her.
I decided to call Tyler. My dad had bailed him out of prison.
"Tyler, can we talk?" I asked.
"Erm, yeah. Sure." He seemed stunned by my spontaneous meeting.
"Great, let's meet at the park in one hour." I replied, hanging up the phone.
I grabbed the account statement of Theos, I told theo I was running to the store and headed out for the park.
I approached the park. There he stood. The shell of a once less broken man, his hair longer and shaggier, his face gaunt, Tyler wasn't Tyler anymore.
"Just so you know I didn't come here to fight." I stated.
"Okay, so why did you come here?" He asked.
"I came to ask if Tia has been drugging you?" I blurted.
Tyler looked at me mouth agape. Shock covered his face.
"I don't know. Why do you ask?" He remarked.
"I found this, Theo's been paying Tia, and I don't know why." I showed him Theo's account statement.
"I think I know what he's been up to." Tyler explained.
"The day he tried to convince me to take money to stay away from Myka. I refused. He must have then gone to Tia and persuaded her to drug me." Tyler replied.
"The day you kidnapped me. What happened?" I asked.
"I don't remember. All I remember is coming back to reality with Theo there in the room and you unconscious." Tyler's face filled with guilt.
"We need to get you examined, we have to find out if Tia and Theo are in this together." I replied.
"Where's Myka?" Tyler asked.
"With Theo, I don't think for a moment he would hurt her. His goal this whole time has been to be with me." I explained.
"Does he know you're here?" Tyler questioned.
"No. He thinks I went to the store." I replied.
I took Tyler to the emergency room, he had some bloodwork done, we waited a few hours, the results came back, he had been drugged.
"Tia drugged you." I explained.
"I knew it, we should confront Theo." Tyler replied.
I headed home, Theo is shocked you're with Tyler.
"What's he doing here?" Theo snapped.
"Seeing his daughter." I replied confidently.
"No he's not." Theo sneered.
He started moving towards Tyler, I stepped in front of him.
"You can't hurt him anymore, where's Tia?" I snapped.
"How am I meant to know?" Theo snapped.
"I know you've been working with her, paying her." I hissed.
"Aren't you smart, I told her we'd both get what we wanted." Theo laughed.
"We can do this the easy way or the hard way." I remarked.
"What are my options?" Theo asked.
"Leave me, Tyler and my daughter alone to live our lives and join Tia wherever she may be." I replied.
"Or turn yourself in to the police, clear Tyler's name and serve the time you should have." I added.
"I think I'll join Tia and my baby." Theo smirked.
"Your baby?" I questioned, clearly stunned.
"Yes, I had an affair." Theo snapped.
I didn't know how to react, I knew if I called my father he'd get me somewhere to live but I was still angry he cheated on mom, but I was also living in a house with a liar, cheat and complete psychopath. I headed into the kitchen to call my father, he answered the call.
"I need somewhere to stay." I blurted.
"What happened to you and Theo?" He asked.
"He had an affair and he got Tia pregnant. he's also been drugging Tyler." I declared.
Silence cut through the tension on the phone, then I heard a gunshot. I ran through to see Tyler lying on the floor, in a pool of his own blood.
"Tyler!" I yelled.
Myka came out from the front room.
"Mom, keep her in there!" I yelled.
but my mom was nowhere to be found.
"If you care about her at all, get her out of here." I snapped at Theo.
I dialled for an ambulance, within minutes they were out to attend to Tyler, followed by police, my father also showed up. After explaining what happened to the police they arrested Theo and cleared Tyler of all charges, Tyler walked a free man, an innocent man.
That day was the day our lives changed for the better. The day we could be a proper family. Myka, Tyler and I, Tyler went into rehab to get off the drugs he was fed while with Tia, when he came out he was the old Tyler, the Tyler I fell in love with, the Tyler I had known all these years.
