When Hadiza reached her room, she went straight to the bathroom and turn on the shower, cold water ran through her body. she shivers. ' I need to survive, if I want to leave this place as soon as possible, I want to see how the world looks like. I want to be free from here. I want to be free from this cage world. I have to say goodbye to this place soon. I want to be a free bird, free from early morning jogging, free from training, free from punishment. I want just to be free " Hadiza thought.
Then she turned off the shower and pick up her towel and wrapped it on her body and moved out of the bathroom. she went to their wardrobe, she opened it and she brings out her karate cloth. Then she put it on, dried her hair and tied it into a bun. Then she carried her bag and leave the room. she met her roommate Tina at the front of their hostel with her best friend Sonia.
"where are you going Hadiza," Tina asked her as she saw her going out with her karate cloth.
" Where did you think I'm going," Hadizah asked her back.
" When will you answer someone appropriately, I can see you wear your karate cloth today, Are going to practice karate," Tina asked again.
" No I'm going to practice taekwondo, you know that I don't like karate", Hadizah answer her roommate.
" Okay then, when are you coming back," Tina asked her again.
"After diner and I hope this friend of yours will leave our room soon", Hadizah said as she was looking at Sonia.
" Hadizah dear don't you like how I'm staying in your room" replied Sonia.
"I'm going for practice, Aren't you guys going to do anything", Hadizah asked them, she ignored Sonia question.
"Not now we will do that later" answer Sonia.
"I'm leaving" Hadizah bid them goodbye and left for the hall. There was no one in the hall. She started to practice her skills. she practised alone almost for One and a half hour. she decided to take a break.
While she was resting, a guy came inside and saw her. Both of them greeted each other. The guy is tall and huge.
"I don't know you are very good at taekwondo," the huge guy said.
" Let have a match Noel," Hadizah asked the guy.
" is it because I said you are, you now think you can beat me, I will just injure you". Noel said
" Don't worry about me, why don't you worry about yourself " replied Hadizah
Noel smiled and said, "Don't you think you are too confident in yourself, okay let have a match".
Hadizah stood in front of him and took her position. Then she said, " I will not be confident in my self if I'm not who will".
" Are you sure about this, because I'm not going to hold back on?" Noel asked as he was taking his position?
" Don't worry, I'm sure, I'm not going to hold back too" Hadizah replied With a smile.
"Okay if I'm too hard on you to surrender immediately," Noel said, looking at Hadizah with worry.
"Hello Mister, I'm not going to break and don't underestimate me, just because I'm lean and not tall, does not mean I can't fight. I'm going to beat you" Hadizah said with a determined voice.
"You can not beat me," Noel said
" I don't take back my words, once I determine to do something, I will do it and one can stop me". Hadizah said while looking at Noel.
Noel smirk and said, " I did warn you, I don't want to injure you before the game started ".
Hadizah closed the gap between both of them and she laughed and frown immediately. she said, " let see who get injured ".
" You are so confident ", Noel said, he was so amused by Hadizah character. Both of them are looking at each other. it's Hadizah that first averted her gaze.
" Enough of your pep talk, can we start the match," Hadizah said.
" OK, take your position. Are u ready" Noel asked
"Sure I am", replied Hadizah
Both of them take their position and greeted each other. Then Noel attacks Hadizah but she's very fast, so she blocked it. Noel attacked her again but she blocked it. Noel was very surprised and she used the opportunity to attack him but she failed because quickly blocked it.
They continued till they were both tired. They are already panting. When Noel decided to take a rest before he continued. Hadizah uses the opportunity to attacked Noel, Noel was caught off guard, he did not block it, he felled down and Hadizah wins the matched.
" Did I not tell you that I will win. I keep my promise", Hadizah said. she was jubilating. she danced around the hall.
Noel was lying on the floor, he was tired to stand up, he looked up and he saw Hadizah jubilating. Noel said, " You know that you cheated ".
Hadizah who was jubilating about her success stop on her track and face Noel " how do I cheat", she asked.
" You know that I'm relaxing, then you attacked me," Noel said
Hadizah replied to him " A wise woman once said never slack off when having a match and this same woman says Never show your opposition mercy. I followed what the wise woman says ".
" That's not a wise woman but a foolish one " Noel replied.
"Haaaa you are calling lord a foolish woman, I will report you to the comrades," said Hadizah.
" I never remembered lord saying something like that" Noel said.
They were silent for some seconds. " please help me up " Noel said
Hadizah went to where he was lying down, she bends and said " how does it feel to lose Mr Noel ", then she bursts into laughter. Noel was disappointed in himself. Then he reached out of her hand and she pulls in up. Then she went to take her bag, ready to leave the hall.
"Why don't we have are a match, " Noel asked her, As she wanted to step out of the hall.
"No it's already time for dinner and I don't want to miss it". Hadizah replied, then she runs off.
" What if some other time ", Noel shouted.
" Noooo" she shouted back. she knows, if they have a rematch she will surely lose, that the reason she said no.
