This is a rewrite of a story I had written a few years ago, so please enjoy!

Alpha I found something on the southern border you need to see straight away, please come and bring Luna please. Beta of the Golden Summit Pack linked his Alpha with urgency in his words.

This better be good Brian or your Luna may have your hide and mine for waking her. Alpha Nelson retorted, as he gently woke his sleeping mate careful not to wake the sleeping pup.

It is sir, I assure you. Alpha could sense his betas worry seeping through the link as he ran into the dark misty forest surrounding the pack. The normally peaceful trees had a dark sense to them, thick mist low to the ground danced around their feet.

"Okay Brian, why did you call us out here in the middle of the night"? Luna Alanna questioned, looking intensely at the lump of sweet-smelling blankets tucked carefully into his arms.

As Alpha stepped forward to examine the bundle of blankets a shrill cry erupted from the small mass in the Betas arms, the Alpha pair felt worry and confusion seeping through their bond.

"I found her on the edge of the border, no one was around. I feel so drawn to her and I have no idea why." He looked into the baby's eyes with adoration, plucking the note that was carefully pinned to her blanket to his Alpha. "This was attached to her blanket, I have no idea what it says" Brian's voice was low and gentle as he rocked the fussing baby.

"Salvum me retinere, qui salus tua ego sum." Alpha nelson read off the paper, sounding even more confused than he looked. "Alright we need to figure out what pack abandoned her here and why, I will do my best to get this note translated."

"Thats the thing Nelson, I do not think she is a pack wolf." 

"You think she was left by a rogue?" Luna spoke softly whilst admiring the baby girl's soft porcelain skin and intense green eyes, her mouth opened wide letting a soft yawn out. 

"Well by any means she is clearly no ordinary wolf" Alpha pointed out, the yawn reveled a double set of fangs and a full set of baby teeth. She can't be more than a few months old he thought to himself. "We must keep her safe until we know what to do with her." His arms stretched out to take the baby from his Beta.

"Alpha if I may, I would love to look after her. I am certain Annie would not mind at all." Brian held the little girl close to his chest.

"If that is what you wish Brian, I will notify you when I know what the note means. Just be careful she may be a baby but she is different." Alpha and Luna turned to go back to their own baby.

"I know she will do amazing things." He spoke to no one in particular, feeling already so attached as if she were his own. His mate would be thrilled, always hoping for the baby that never came.
