CHAPTER TWENTY-ONE JUNE 10 – 2 PM ARIZONA REPUBLIC NEWSPAPER I wander into the office. It’s Saturday and pretty quiet. A few people are working, Ben is downstairs at his job, but all the management is out. I put my feet up on the desk and recline back in the wooden chair. I take a chance and call the sheriff in Globe to see if there are any leads on the highway murders. He answers his phone, so he is working at his office. No, he has not been able to locate anyone that looks like they have been in a fight recently. Globe is the friendliest town in America. “Yeah, save the speech, sheriff.
