CHAPTER TEN JUNE 6, 12 NOON ARIZONA REPUBLIC NEWSPAPER I am slow arriving at the office; I stopped at the police station first. Specs is frantic, trying to reach me. “Gene! Gene, there is another highway murder in Globe.” He wants me to drive back up there today, but I don’t like the idea. It’s hotter than hell, and I have a lot to do here in Phoenix.
