Captain Reed calls this morning and says he has good news. I sure could use good news after spending time at the typewriter writing the story about the family being washed away. What a tragedy. Yes, I could use good news.
He says that his officer, Detective Steinberg, in El Paso has located the honeymooners and is scheduling them for interviews at the El Paso police station in the next couple of days. Then he will be returning with all the details of the information and written statements notarized by both parties.
From the preliminary conversation with the girl, he indicates that she does remember Bob Davis and is willing to provide information and a statement.
