The walk back to the palace was awkward and silent, which made it seem like a much longer walk than it really was. Even my mom and dad are quiet, which is rare. They're not even attempting to mindlink me and I appreciate that because I can't think straight right now. I keep listening for any sound or signal that Nova is alive somehow, but with every passing second, my heart is shattering piece by piece. What if she never wakes up?
