The First Thing I Remember

515 Words
At first, he heard the gunshot, Then the lifeless body of the bastard in front of him hit the floor. Serves him right. Second, came her smell, a sweet fragrance of strawberries and mango, like something exotic. It filled his restricted airways. Then he heard a light footfall, moving in front of him, It wasn't till he felt a small breeze he knew whoever it was, was facing him. End me, Please. He thought. He was desperate. Then, something strange. He heard them swallow. Were nervous? Anxious? Did they know him? "Hello? Can you hear me?" She asked in that, soft, velvet voice. He wanted to see her. He didn't know why. He just had to see her but his body wouldn't allow it. He felt the chains disappear from his feet. When he felt her shoulder at his abdomen and she reached up to cut the chain he half panicked. He was a 200lbs male and she felt, so so small compared to him. When she caught him with ease he half relaxed but then the searing pain of blood rushing to his arms made him wince in pain. s**t. His body was so weak and frail he couldn't even lift his head. He felt her lay him down on the floor and move to break the chain on his neck. Her hands were soft, almost velvet as they brushed along the sore, burnt skin of his neck. As soon as the chain fell he could breathe so much better, he felt himself gasp as if he was starving for oxygen. Then everything seemed to fade as her hands glided across his face, brushing the hair from it so she could see him better. How unfair was this? She got to have a nice good look at him and he couldn't even take a glance at her. It actually made him angry, As if the wolf inside of him was trying to claw his eyes open so he could look. Why was his wolf agitated? That didn't make any sense. He was usually taking a quiet back seat. "If you can hear me, I'm not going to hurt you. I'm going to feed you my blood. It's going to help you heal so please don't fight me. You've lost a lot and you need a transfusion, this is the quickest way." He heard her say. As a wolf, he didn't mind blood but as a human, it turnt his stomach slightly.  Then he felt a warm drip against his lips, his mouth parted for her and then her wrist pressed against his lips. At first, he did fight the intrusion but then as the blood rested on his tongue it tasted..sweet. Like the fruit she smelt of. He gulped it down slowly at first, his mouth and throat dry from the lack of food and drink. The blood seemed to have cooled his throat enough for him to take faster gulps, yet his body was still in a lethargic state. As soon as her wrist moved from his lips the darkness clouded his mind and enveloped him once more.
