CHAPTER 24: Broken Bond
I could hear Calum saying something beside me but my senses were consumed by the scorching heat on my back. My eyes can’t seem to look away from the figure right in front of us.
I heard another booming sound and I didn’t know if it was from Calum anymore, but that’s when the figure vanished in thin air, leaving nothing, even smoke, behind.
But the pain was still there. The scorching heat that’s slowly consuming me, eating my senses.
I felt sweat trickling down my forehead as I grasped at the part where the pain came from. With my shaky hands, I felt that same scar I recently just discovered on myself. I felt myself tear up in pain.
