Guards and other Stygians tried keeping me from escaping but the light that still illuminated from my eyes and chest were keeping them from getting close to me. I ran away towards nowhere as I didn’t know where else to escape in this ironically cold and dark hellhole.
“Natalie!” A shout stopped me momentarily from running away, and when I turned, I saw Vanessa with countless guards behind her. My breathing ragged when it looked like she called the entire army they had with her. Their hollow eyes were looking so cold and deadly that the courage that surged through me faltered a little.
