Voices erupted as almost every Councilor started speaking out in an outburst.
I couldn’t help myself from looking back and forth to those people who were speaking in chorus. And yet I couldn’t hear what they were saying because of their loud voices.
But if there’s one thing I understood about what they’re saying and how they’re reacting, it’s that some agrees with Calum and some doesn’t.
But why? What did Jordan do for half of the people in this Council to not like him?
“He is a backbiter! He does not deserve our pardon just because we need his skills and strength!”
“If he is, then he probably would have sided with the Stygians already! We can not let our pride decide for us right now. He can be the solution for this problem with the humans.”
