CHAPTER 34: Shadows
“The Light shall be with the shadows.”
Breathing hard, I watched the hooded figures as they inched closer to me and extended a hand again. I swallowed as my throat dried up.
“Give the Light and you shall not die like him. Give or your life will be the bargain,” said the unearthly voices as they continued inching closer to me.
With frantic movements, I dragged myself backwards from them as they circled in on me. Looking around in panic, I no longer knew what to do. Everything was still so shocking and overwhelming to me that all my body could do was to stare, scoot back and tremble at the sight of them.
