CHAPTER 13: Deja Vu
Glancing at Rina on the driver’s seat, I couldn’t help feeling strange around her.
Since we went back inside the apartment, she became so silent, and I was not used to it.
When she turned around towards me, after eluding my gaze when I saw her outside my apartment, those seemingly glowing eyes I thought I saw was not there anymore. Then she just beamed at me, like nothing happened.
“Mum just called. I told her about a couple of things I’ve discovered in town,” she informed, and that’s when I saw the earbud she had on her left ear.
“Come on?” She said and walked past me towards my room again. I turned and looked at her back, walking fast as she can as if she was caught into doing something. Did I? Did I catch her in doing something?
I feel like... I did.
