Beginning of the end.

The day the storm broke wasn’t dark or dramatic. It was perfect. Blue sky. Cherry blossoms in bloom. Students laughing under the sun like the world was untouched. But beneath that fragile layer of calm, everything was set to explode. 1. The Trap Laid At 8:00 a.m., a private file was uploaded to the Avalon Internal Faculty Network. From an anonymous address, it contained: Signed financial documents connecting Renji Kamisaka’s father to offshore accounts linked to bribery and insider trading. A leaked audio file—Renji threatening a faculty member to falsify Haruto’s academic record. A statement from Erika Kamisaka, dated, verified, and emotionally gutting: “He let them lock me away because I didn’t want to play perfect. I was sixteen. He smiled while they erased me.” By 8:05 a.m., the Headmaster was already on the phone. 2. The Public Strike At 10:30 a.m., the entire senior division was summoned to the Grand Assembly Hall—a rare and formal event, usually reserved for donor ceremonies or scandal cover-ups. Renji sat at the front, pristine as always, with the student council flanking him. Aoi walked in late, Haruto beside her. They didn’t try to hide. They didn’t sit in the back. They sat in the front row, directly across from Renji. The Headmaster stepped onto the stage, clearing his throat. “An emergency matter has come to our attention—one that affects the integrity of Saint Avalon and the students we hold in our care.” The screen behind him flickered to life. Erika Kamisaka’s video. Her face. Her voice. Her truth. Gasps rippled through the crowd. Whispers turned into waves of stunned silence. Then came the second blow: Haruto’s falsified record revealed. Renji’s voice clearly caught on audio—his threats, his sneering insults. “This is Avalon,” he said in the clip. “We don’t lose to people like him.” The room turned. Dozens of heads swiveled toward Renji. And for the first time… he looked human. Pale. Still. Trembling just slightly. His kingdom collapsing in full view. 3. The Confrontation When the lights rose, silence hung heavy in the air. Then Aoi stood. Calm. Queenly. “Everything you’ve seen is real,” she said, voice cool and clear. “This school has built itself on legacy, not merit. On fear, not respect. That ends now.” Renji shot to his feet. “Lies! All of this is manufactured. You want to burn the whole system down because he made you feel—” “Stop.” Haruto’s voice cut in. Quiet. Absolute. He stepped forward, the entire room watching. “I didn’t come here to start a war. But you brought it to me. You used my sister. You dragged my past through the dirt. And I still stood here. You know why?” Renji’s mouth moved, but no words came. “Because I earned every step I took in this school. And I’m not afraid of you. Not anymore.” The silence that followed wasn’t quiet—it was heavy. Respectful. Final. The Headmaster stood. “Effective immediately, Renji Kamisaka is suspended from Saint Avalon, pending legal review. The student council will be disbanded for reformation.” Renji didn’t look at anyone as he walked out. Not even Aoi. 4. The Aftermath Outside, students gathered in shocked clusters. Some approached Haruto and Aoi. Quiet nods. Subtle thanks. A hand on the shoulder. A few even apologized. It wasn’t a parade. But it was enough. That night, in the greenhouse—lit by hanging bulbs, surrounded by the scent of soil and blooming jasmine—Haruto and Aoi stood together in silence. She reached for his hand. “It's over,” she whispered. He looked at her. “No. It’s just beginning.” And then he kissed her—slow, deep, unhurried. There was no war in it this time. No fire, no fear. Only peace. And promise.
