Scene 1: An Envelope on the Table The letter sat untouched on the center of Aoi’s desk. Heavy parchment. Gold seal. Foreign lettering. It had arrived three days ago, but neither of them had opened it. Now, Haruto held it between his fingers, turning it once. Twice. “Are we stalling?” he asked. Aoi leaned back against the windowsill, arms crossed, expression unreadable. “No,” she said. “We’re... delaying a decision we already made.” He looked at her. “Did we?” She didn’t answer. He broke the seal. Inside: Full acceptance for both of them into the Global Institute of Political and Social Reform, Geneva campus. Two full scholarships. Housing. Travel.
