"Adrian!" I called, tilting my head back as I stood by the door.
The woman inside the lab had already looked up—her eyes locked on me for a second, but only for a second. The moment she saw Adrian behind me, everything changed.
Her lips curled into a slow, lustful smile.
"Adrian..." she breathed.
She rushed past me like I didn’t exist, practically throwing herself into his arms. Her body collided with his chest, her hands gripping his shirt like she’d been starving for him. Then came the kisses—wet, desperate kisses all over his face.
My whole body stiffened. I didn’t know why... but it made me sick.
Something ugly curled in my stomach as I watched her lips trail over his jaw. My fists clenched. I hated the way she touched him like she owned him.
