"Row... I think you should head inside now," Adrian said quickly, shifting his weight awkwardly. His eyes kept darting around like he was scared someone might pop out any second. "Before anyone sees you like this... they'll think something else."
I didn’t argue. My mind wasn’t even there anymore — it was stuck on the diary burning against my back.
"Okay, bye," I mumbled and turned, hurrying toward the dorm.
I remembered I had told Cindy to leave the door open, and thank God, she had. I slipped inside quietly, careful not to make a sound. She was fast asleep. Good.
