Date night & Mizuki's past pt1

Kousuke and Yuichi had decided to go to the new Sushi place since they worked hard at Edens , they wanted to buy some take out to share with everyone they hadn't however expected to meet Ichirou and Mizuki there and felt shocked to see the older couple seated with plates full of sushi. Drinking some warmed sake sat Ichirou "Aniki what are you doing here?" " oh hey guys why don't you join us" Kousuke shrugged his shoulders so Yuichi took a seat on one side of the couple leaving Kousuke to take the seat opposite him. " Did you know that this place is owned by Ayame San? the two of you guys wouldn't know who that is so I'll tell you Ayame San is a schoolmate of Ren, Yujirou and our father" "is that why you are drinking warmed sake ?" Ichirou smiled at Kousuke " ding ding you win a tuna roll" Mizuki motioned to a waitress to come to the table " sorry but can we get two more orders please" the younger boys smiled at the waitress "if it's not too troublesome can we get some green tea please" The four males enjoyed their meals laughing and  teasing each other. As they stood outside the restaurant Yuichi stretched his arms above his head  "well that was an amazing meal wasn't it? ah I'll be going to Kousukes, you guys have a good night" Ichirou and Mizuki waved goodbye as their young brothers walked off down the street.

Kousuke and Yuichi walked as close as possible to one another "well that was interesting it's not everyday a guy has a double date with his big brother""stupid! don't tease me or I won't sleep over" "aw come on don't be that way you know I love your sulky face as much as any other expression you make" Kousuke had invited Yuichi to sleep over when he found out his parents were going to visit one of his Aunts for her wedding since his sister went along they would have the whole house to themselves and wouldn't have to feel awkward with his sister around. Hanging up their coats that had gotten wet by the unexpected  shower of rain half way home the boys made their way up to Kousuke's room while  drying their hair with towels left at the door  for such occasions. Kousuke had a comfortable room painted in light blues and greens; his queen-sized bed was a mass of darker shades of green and blue bedding and pillows. Kousuke was feeling unusually shy now that they were alone in his home and room. " So can I offer you some tea ? or maybe you'd like to take a bath since we got caught in the rain" as he said to Yuichi as he was drying his hair vigorously. Yuichi smiled at his best friend " Actually I wouldn't mind having a shower , but I think I will be find just changing into dry clothes and drying my hair, thanks for the offer though " having only one pair of spare clothes he had to borrow a change of clothes from Kousuke which weren't too big thankfully so after changing into  dry clothes they made some popcorn and picked a thriller to watch  but before getting even half way through the movie both  of them had fallen asleep exhausted after a long day of hard work.

Regardless of their late nights the six member's working  on the garden had gathered in the barren garden of Eden Studios to finish the preparations for the upcoming picnic. "I told you we should have gone to bed early so stop grumbling and hand me that garbage bag so I can throw these leaves out" Mizuki was cleaning the  leaves that had been discarded  when Ichirou trimmed the hedges Ichirou rubbed his eyes yawning "it's too early  why couldn't we do this after lunch " Ren smiled handing Ichirou a bag of  fertilizer " grumble all you want as long as your hands are moving I don't care but if you are just going to complain then forget about having any strawberry cake at lunch" hearing he would not get his favorite cake made Ichirou start working in silence  regardless of his age he was still  a child inside over to one side of the yard Kousuke and Yuichi were sorting through seeds arguing over what should be planted "come on guys lets decide together" Mizuki was probably the only one  who had a really good sense of what flowers should be next to each other " Aniki you pick the flowers and Yuichi and I will plant them " Mizuki smiled and looked through the packages of seeds " here take these  ones over into the corner of the yard the vegetable garden is always  ordered in the same way  so you guys can work on that while Mizuki picks out the flowers" Ren handed the young boys a basket and made his way over to  Mizuki " you are thinking about grandmother aren't you?" Mizuki  looked up at his cousin " I always helped her with her planting since I didn't have many friends when I first moved in with her" growing up Mizuki had spent most of his time living with his fathers mother since  both his parents were always working his grandmother's love for nature and flowers had been passed on to him the more time he spent with her.

Ren looked at Mizuki  tenderly "do you still want a flower shop?" Ichirou was surprised as he heard Ren " I'm not a little kid anymore Ren " was all Mizuki said before walking off. ``I'm going up to the bathroom" he called over his shoulder. Ichirou watched him leave wondering what was going through his mind. Taking a seat beside Ren Ichirou asked "what was that all about?" Ren sighed "Mizuki lived with our grandmother when he was young because his parents worked a lot well actually the first 5 years of his life he lived overseas but when his parents had decided to come back to japan he moved in with grandma and me. Since I lived with her I would take him to school and pick him up since it was in the same direction as me anyways after a few months his parents took him back to their home it was rough on  grandmother since Mizuki spent almost all his free time with her and her friends a few months after taking him back maybe 2 months his parents decided to get divorced once again he ended up moving back in with grandmother until she died in an accident not too long after he had turned fourteen. It was hard for him his parents wanted him to choose whom he would live with but his father was still stationed outside Japan so he moved in with his mother so he could stay in the same school. Growing up  Mizuki would always claim he would have the best flower shop ever he once visited me here and saw the sign that said Edens Garden Complex after that he had told grandmother he would call his flower shop Grandmothers Eden a place where she would always have a paradise of her own but after she died everything changed which is  rather predictable but I always hoped he would go back to it since he and grandmother loved it so much" " you know dreams can change I wanted to be a police man  when I was 5 then I wanted to be a soccer player but my real dream and goal is to be an architect" Yuichi had surprised the men when he spoke "well that is true but this just seems different somehow" Ren sighed and walked towards the picnic basket he and Yujirou had prepared for everyone "we have to get going Satsuki just called and said he found some people we can hire if we are interested but we have to go and meet them now if we want them to start work  as soon as possible" Yujirou held his lover close to him "don't worry too much over our wild flower boy he's got Ichirou by his side so he'll be fine" Ichirou smiled at them  trying to show confidence he wasn't sure he felt" don't worry Ren you can count on me to make him smile again" Ren smiled then followed his lover out the garden.
