Chapter Fifteen Tina was working on a walking dress for Lady Fareham when there was a knock on her door. With a scowl and then a sigh, she put her work aside to answer it. Oddly enough, she hoped it wasn’t a lady come to buy a gown from her. She already had too much to do in too little time. She fully expected her mother to be on the other side of the door. She was sure she would be by to question her about thanking the duchess the day before. The more Tina thought about it, the more she was certain that it was not only inappropriate behavior but quite possibly horrifically rude. She sincerely hoped her mother hadn’t had to defend her all afternoon.
