Stuck in Congo

Chris's laughter echoed through the way Chris spoke. “ You two are something else. You actually thought you would waltz into Congo and not expect any consequences?“

He shook his head, a mixture of amusement and disdain on his face.

Nk and Kelvin exchanged angry glances, but Chris continued. “ You're so used to getting what you want, when you want it. But this isn't London or New York. This is Congo and here you are nothing .“

The boss chuckled clearly enjoying the exchange. “Yes, Chris has told me alot about you two. You're quite the dynamic duo.“

Nk and Kelvin seethed with anger, but Chris just smiled. “You know I have to admit , I am a bit disappointed. I thought you'd put up more of a fight. But you are just so predictable.“

The boss leaned forward, his eyes glinting with excitement. “ Yes, well, let's get down to business. Chris here has been working for me for a while now. And he's been very helpful.“

As the boss continued, Chris's expression changed. His eyes seemed to harden, and his smile grew wider. Nk and Kelvin realized that they didn't Chris at all.

The next day Chris went to the hut where Nk and Kelvin were held captive. There was table in front them as they were tied on the chairs. Chris came and poured water on them as they woke up in agony as the water was very cold

“You know, I have been thinking about this moment for a long time,” Chris said,his voice low and menacing. “I have been thinking about how I would make you pay for what you did to me. My company fell down the drain because of the doors I opened for you Nk. You took my ideas and you used them to build your own company and you didn't give me credit.“

Nk and Kelvin exchanged worried glances, sensing the anger and hatred emanating Chris

“You two have no idea what its like to be in my shoes,” Chris continued , his voice rising. “You have no idea what it's like to be betrayed by the people you trusted. You used me Nk. You used me for your own gain and then you discarded me like trash.

Nk's eyes widened in shock. “Chris what are you talking about? I never…”

“Shut up Chris slammed his fist on the table, making Nk and Kelvin jump. “You shut up and listen. You destroyed my life Nk . You destroyed my reputation , my relationships, my everything. And Kelvin you are just as guilty. You stood by and let it happen. You let him use me, and then you just watched.

Kelvin's face was pale. “ Chris um sorry I didn't know …”

“Sorry?“ Chris laughed, a cold, mirtless sound. “Sorry isn't enough. Nothing will ever be enough for what you did to me. But I will tell you one thing - you will pay. You'll pay for what you did to me and you'll pay dearly.

As Chris's anger reached a boiling point, NK and Kelvin realized that they were in grave danger. They had no idea what Chris was capable of, and they were about to find out.

The next day,Nk and Kelvin were dragged into a dimly lit room, their hands and feet bound by heavy chains. The air was thick with the stench of blood and despair. They thrown onto a raised platform, their eyes scanning the room in fear.

The boss with a sly grin spreading across his face, began to auction them off to the gathered crowd. “Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the most exclusive sell of the year. We have two specimens for you today , strong healthy and perfect for any intensive labor operation.“

As they bidding war began, Nk and Kelvin were subjected to humiliating inspections, their captors prodding and pinching them like cattle. The torture they endured

earlier was nothing compared to the psychological torment of being treated like commodities.

Nk's eyes met Kelvin's, and he could see the fear and desperation reflected back at him. They both knew that they had to be strong, but it was getting harder by the minute.

The bidding continued, with Nk and Kelvin being sold to the highest bidder. As they were dragged away,Nk caught a glimpse of Chris standing in the shadows, his expression unreadable.

The new owners, a group of rough looking men, took Nk and Kelvin away, chaining them to the back of the truck. As they drove off, Nk and Kelvin exchanged desperate glances, wondering what lay ahead.
