It was dark and cold. As Samantha stirred the concrete dug into her shoulder. She began to open her eyes, and as she did her head began to ache and spin. The room was completely black apart from the sliver of light coming from under the door. Samantha tried to get up, realizing her hands and legs were bound tightly. Just then the memories of her escape attempt flashed into her mind, making her head spin more, as panic set in. She felt her heart begin to race as she tried to make out anything in the room that could be of help.
“s**t, s**t, shit.” Samantha muttered.
Just then the fall of footsteps echoed near. As the sound of the footsteps grew closer, Samantha began to hold her breath. Shadows appeared in the crack of light under the door. Tears started to run down her cheeks. This was it; she couldn’t help but think about the end as she waited for her captures to come in.
“Hey what are you doing?” A raspy voice asked.
“I was about to drag this wench to the trailer to load up so we can bring her to the boss.” The shadow in front of the door grunted out.
“I will be thankful for the boss to finally get rid of this b***h. Her scent is sickening.” The raspy voice spoke again. What the hell Samantha thought. She had just washed how the heck could she stink? She rolled her eyes at herself. This was the last thing she should be worrying about.
The door handle began to turn until the latch clicked open. More tears began to stream down her face as she struggled to try and slide her hands out of the binds. She could feel the binds cut into her wrists as she continued to struggle but she had no idea what else she could do.
The door opened and the two men stood there staring at her with devious grins.
“Looks like the princess is finally awake.” The one snorted. The man who opened the door began to make his way toward her.
“Stay the hell away from me!” Samantha yelled as the struggled more to get her hands out of the binds. A sharp pain radiated through her stomach has the man kicked her hard enough to roll her body to the other side. The breath she had been holding shot out of her lungs with a sharp cough. The metallic taste of blood coated her mouth. The man then bent down and grabbed her by the hair and pulled her face to his.
“Shut your disgusting face wench. Do not speak unless you are spoken to, or else I will make you regret every word. It is time to go bitch.” He let go of her hair and threw her over his shoulder. More pain stabbed through the spot where she was kicked as his shoulder dug in. They started to make their way back to the door when a loud bang vibrated through the building.
“s**t what the f**k was that!” The guy with the raspy voice growled. Both men turned and started to run. They made their way down the winding halls faster than she could keep track. If pain was not spreading through her body, she would be more amazed by the crazy speed they were moving at. Goose bumps spread across her skin as deep growling began coming from behind them. Samantha tried to tilt her head up to see what was behind them but the pain in her head was too great. Just then a flash of black flew out of no where, sending Samantha crashing to the ground. She winced at the pain and rolled on to her side. As she did, she could feel a damp warmth soak through her shirt. She looked down to see a pool of red blood spreading around her. Samantha couldn’t help the blood curdling scream that clawed its way out her throat.
