HATE FOR MATES AND WEREWOLVES

CHAPTER 4

VALEN'S POV

After a hectic two hour meeting, I exit the meeting room feeling totally famished then head to the pack house where the Pack's cook has already prepared food for me to eat.

I sit at the table and start eating quickly when my baby sister "Izzy" runs up to me leading her troupe of side kicks to my table, I laugh at the sight of cookie crumbs and candy stains on her mouth and cloth, those stains are actually present on all of them, I hold back my laughter and then lift her up in the air a bit while the other cubs who followed her watch with expectation, I smile and drop her on the table then carry the rest one by one, spin them in the air, then eventually set them down on the table. Izzy clearly feeling jealous starts pouting.

"Valee didn't raise me up for long".

I couldn't hold it back anymore and start laughing then I tickle her hard, the other cubs also wanted me to tickle them, if his mum was around, she'd tease him about how the cubs were usually the most comfortable and free with mostly him than anyone else.

"Alpha", Jack, the caretaker says then does a slight bow with both hand joined together in the shape of a circle, the proper way to greet an Alpha. I acknowledge his greetings and signal for him to take the cubs so I could finish what was supposed to be my last sandwich but it was gone.

"Which one of you took my last sandwich?". They all denied it, I watch Izzy with her mouth full also deny it, I just laugh and give her some water.

"Izzy, you're a terrible liar, cubs, Jack I have to leave now, I have somethings to do"

"No, don't go, tell us a story first then you can go". Izzy says then the rest nods in agreement, I sigh and smile at them, I've spoiled them too much and yet I can't say no to any of them.

"Ok, which story"

"The make everyone peaceful story". I was confused, what did Izzy mean?

"The Creation Story" Jack saved me from my confusion

"Oh ok, let's all sit, Jack bring some snacks" He brings them then we all sit close to each other.

"This is a story of how all creatures, werewolves, demons, vampires, witches, were cats, hybrids, etc and all other supernatural creatures finally found peace after decades of war. It's called creation because it's a story about the creation of peace.

"But, What about the humans" Izzy asks.

"They did not exist then, no more questions, save your questions for later. Many years ago, no one is really sure of how all creatures came to existence but it's believed that we all have our gods and goddess and that they all created creatures as a means of entertainment, they all made one each and placed all forms of hurdles to see if they'll survive or not solely for the purpose of entertainment, these creatures all survived at first but eventually they moved into the clouds". I almost said they died, I have to be careful of the words I use in front of the cubs.

"The gods and goddess noticed that their creations did not last lon..., were not happy because of loneliness". I almost slipped up.

"They decided to provide them with a friend, a female companion basically, each creature was clearly happier and active now, they also brought children or cubs like you all to life, but the demon being a very greedy creature could not stand seeing other creatures being able to procreate when he kept failing, he mostly failed in procreation and other activities because he was lazy but no, 'Mr Demon' refused to admit it and so he attacked the werewolf and took their child, before attacking, he visited the vampire and his werecat friend, he took samples from them without them knowing and he placed them in the house of the werewolf, the werewolf blinded by rage attacked both of them and other creatures eventually got dragged in, ending the peace that existed between all of them and resulting in an all out war. The gods and goddess decided to try again and put distance between them unlike before, this time the creatures procreated for a long while creating like three generations but it still resulted in an all out war, the first creature to go to the clouds was the werewolf, this made his goddess known as the moon goddess extremely sad as she was attached to him and had made the werewolf in her image, the werewolf went to the clouds because of a civil war, they were fighting for the women who were smaller in number compared to the men, the other creatures went to the moon because of an anomaly the gods and goddess didn't plan for, the humans came into existence, the demon, the most adventurous interacted with them first and finally tried procreating with them, he succeeded and felt proud, he boasted about it to other creatures but the then extremely fragile human found out about what he actually was, she was frightened and then spread word of it, then ran away leaving the demon totally unhappy, he eventually head to the clouds while the rest start fighting for the humans, while they were fighting, humans were evolving, the once fragile creatures now had weapons and means of fighting them leading to the end of all these creatures, the weak and fragile humans that they overlooked resulted in the total annihilation of all those creatures". I stop for a bit, look at them and then continue

"The gods and goddesses called for an emergency meeting on how to bring back their creatures and how they could make them live in peace and harmony. They also discussed how the overlooked humans did what they thought was impossible. Each God and goddess decided to create a special world for their creature separately, they would only be allowed to interact when they are sure that they had matured, the meeting ended, they all exited then moon goddess the creator of the werewolves knew she had to figure out a way to make her creatures and have a long life, and so she created the first and our most important ancestor-Hawthrone, which is the name of our pack, she moved him far away from the other creatures, gave him a companion, wisdom, knowledge and this time she chose to interact with him and she made him aware of what had happened to his predecessors and so they decided to work together, he suggested she create something like a shield or a magic sphere like wall that would prevent anyone from entering unless giving permission, she agreed and she decided to name it 'The Haw', it's a protective force field created to divide the werewolves world from other worlds, she was happy that they had solved that problem but the wolves were still fighting over scarce women and so she decide to create 'Mates'-a fated partner, and to make sure everyone would find their own partner, due to this the wolves kept multiplying quickly and so 'The Hawthorne pack' divided into more packs. All the Packs were created by Hawthorne's children resulting in a full blown werewolf society much more blissful and happy than ever, but there was another problem again, some wolves were unable to find their mates in all the packs and so after a careful deliberation the gods and goddess all agreed that the haw should be widened to cover all the supernaturals and then to allow their creatures interact, there were some issues but it was resolved by the council which the creatures formed by themselves without the intervention of their gods or goddess. Some new different laws were made, the ones in the wolf world are that ....."

"Creatures are allowed to go into the human world to learn and then they come back and use that knowledge to help their society, but if they cut all ties to become a rogue, they'll be hunted and sent to the clouds ". The Council asked the witches to alter the memories of the humans which is why their memory of witches is ugly green skin and how they think garlic affects vampires, and then finally they all lived in peace, happy ever after, the end, so cubs". I pause, surprised that they are all asleep, did my story bore them, I smile and then quietly move them all to their respective bed for their afternoon nap, I quickly mind link Stella to meet me at the office to brief me on the details of 'Black Corp.'

I finally arrive at my office, Stella and Damian are already seated but clearly they weren't waiting for me as the sounds of laughter and giggles fill the room leaving me with jealousy. They only notice me when I clear my throat, Stella stands immediately ready to give the report I asked her for .

"Good day Alpha". Then she bows with her hand forming a circle to greet me.

"The Black corp CEO's assistant said that there's no free time available this month, but you know by next month it will already be too late, then our clients will see us as unreliable, especially since this contract was not supposed to go to us, but some random company and then we took...."

"Stop, lets think of a solution together" I say this to stop her incessant rambling.

"Hey, I might actually have a solution, I'm not sure yet if it'll work though".

"Let's hear it Damian"

"Yeah, talk babe, we're listening".

"You both know how wolves leave packs temporarily to go to the human world mostly in search of their mates or sometimes a chance of pace, human education, or jobs like how some of our companies are there or in very rare cases, they become rogues".

"Yeah, rogues are werewolves who do not belong to a pack, but what does all these have to do with the issue Babe, kindly go straight to the point".

"Stella, thanks for stating the obvious and Damian, kindly continue". I say to the crazy couple.

"Babe check if we have any wolves in Black corp, then have the wolf get her schedule then we'll find a way to interrupt or just intersect ourselves into one of her meetings, genius right, I know you're not impressed,.... you're totally blown away". Valen says and I'm surprised he actually thought of something that might work, first time he uses his brain right, I decided to tease him a bit.

"It's not great, but still it's something, your brain is working today, I'm glad, it must have been the training I made you do, you've been training most times by yourself, that's why you turned out like this, anyways, you're welcome."

Stella tries her best to hold her laughter after my words but it eventually erupts and I join her while Damian just glares at both of us. Stella winks at him and quickly heads out to grab her laptop.

Few Minutes Later

"Guys, I've found someone and I've contacted him, he agreed easily, and he'll also work with Javy-our tech guy, to make this easier, so Alpha get ready". Stella comes back and basically advises me, I'm glad the plan is already in motion though, I quickly respond to her.

"Good Work, also why do I need to get ready, this will be easy".

"ALPHA!! I TOLD YOU HOW RIGID THE CEO OF BLACK CORP IS.YOU HAVE TO BE VERY CONVINCING OR HAVE A GOOD OFFER READY FOR THE MATERIALS AT LEAST, ALSO, NOT EVERYONE FINDS YOU ATTRACTIVE, SO IT WON'T WORK WITH EVERYONE".

Stella was basically scolding me at this point, I just rolled my eyes at her nagging

"Excuse me, Have you seen me? Even married women want me but of course none of them matter only my mate does, also why are you screaming at your Alpha".

"I apologise Alpha, I'll take my leave now, I need a nap". Stella says and exits the room, such a lazy delta.

"Her next meeting is with a Mr John, Javy, I need you to find out if we have anyone in his company then get the person to reroute her meeting from him to us" Damian says clearly giving out orders with anger or is it frustration, I know he is going to get back at me for teasing him earlier but I know he wants to deal with his mate who quicky ran away first then face me

"Ok, give me a minute, oh I've found it Mr John Jones of Jones Corp, looks like he's a big time partner of hers, are you sure we should interrupt or even intersect ourselves in this meeting? Why don't we just wait until she's done for the day, I don't think anyone would like it if someone just interrupts our meeting, I'd most definitely be pissed off".

"Yes, Javy, I understand but it's not as if she'll try to kill us simply because we interrupt her meeting".

I chuckled then looked at Damian his choices of words was clearly him warning me of what was to come, his revenge, it would probably be like that time he popped my water bed while I was sleeping, I chased him for hours out of anger, it was a really fun day though.

I watch Javy talk to the two people we found in Black and Jones Corp and give them orders while I settled down in my leather chair, it connects and I freeze up and stay totally glued to the screen looking at the ethereal beauty before me, wow, I'm speechless, she was in a purple blazer, with brown eyes full of wisdom and her hair is pulled back with a rubber band, her facial features are just adorable and watching her facial expressions change into confusion was doing something to me, something I can't explain.

The next thing I hear is he looks so nice and then I smirk and my ears twitched-a wolf trait I clearly can't hide. I heard her and I'm clearly going to take advantage of this. She's already sucked into my charm.
