HATE FOR MATES AND WEREWOLVES

CHAPTER 7

STELLA'S POV

"I'll tell you everything, please let him go". I watch her consider my words, nod and then hurl my mate across the room like a bag of chips. She exits the room. I quickly hurry to my mate's side to check the severity of his wounds. I pull his shirt up, he's bleeding— a dark shade of blood clearly a result of the wolfsbane in his system, I should have listened when he asked me not to use the blade coat in wolfsbane, the strong lady only brought out her own blade after being attacked by my own. I sigh and apply pressure on his biggest wound to push out the poisoned blood in his system, it would be painful but he has to take it. This is the best available option right now. I withhold my tears— feeling his pain through our mate bond.

“I'm so sorry babe”

“Don't tell her anything“

“I have to, it's to buy time till Alpha gets here”

We converse through our mind link for a while then I apply more force on his wound leaving him groaning in pain. The strong lady comes back into the room with a hard bread loaf and a vial of some sorts which she throws at me.

"What is this for?" I say with caution as to not incur her wrath like I had earlier. She doesn't respond just opens up a cupboard in the kitchen where we all are and throws bandages, a band aid. She stops her movements, turns and glares at Damian leaving me in fear of what she could be planning. She just chuckles, then hurls a glob of crimson paste at me, which I eventually find out is ointment.

"Treat him, hurry up, oh and that's ointment and an antidote for wolfsbane". I gasp, visibly shocked that she is helping her enemies. Is she not worried that we'll attack her if he heals, she must know how fast werewolves heal.

"I only healed him because I don't want his death on my hands, don't get any crazy ideas, both of you".

Looks like she can read minds, I quickly use her tools to treat Damian while giving him the hard loaf to bite on. I watch her bend down and push a button under the couch, clearly expecting something, a strange wide compartment opens up, but it's clearly empty, she looks up looking visibly panicked, her breathing erratic. I wonder what kind of treasure she could have hidden there.

"Where are they? If one strand of their hair is not how it's supposed to be, I swear, I'll end all of you and hunt down the rest of your people".

"We didn't take anything, I don't know what you're talking about, please calm down". I say to her clearly worried because i know that I'm not strong enough to even touch her , my mates wounds haven't fully healed. He's stronger than me yet he was defenseless against this wolf like strong lady.

"My babies, my pets, honey and bunny, a cat and a dog. Where are they?".

"My Alpha took them out, he's far from here, he didn't want them to be cut up in this argument, he won't harm them, he'll bring them soon, I'll contact him, can I explain why we are here now?".

She points at the couch opposite her and I sit down to start my journey down memory lane.

Flashback

"Come to my office right now, both of you" . This was Alpha's command immediately after his call with Miss Kira of Black Corp. It was through mind link, he sounded so pissed off which hurried Damian and I. We reached the office where our Alpha was seething in fury. His meeting clearly did not go well. I felt fear because the blood lust radiating off him was clearly no joke, it weakened me, turning my knees to pudding. Damian had to hold me by the waist clearly affected but not as I was.

"Valen, you have to calm down, your emotions affect the pack, everyone can feel your rage, tell me what's going on".

My mate voiced out, while assisting me to the nearest chair, I couldn't speak, I sit and mentally prepare myself knowing that Alpha rarely gets angry unless there's something major.

"Do you remember the report we received on missing cubs that were taken?".

"Yes Alpha, all packs are still searching".

"I think I've found a clue that might lead us to them, they are in the human world, unfortunately they are being tortured".

I was so shocked at the time, who was the monster, these cubs might not be from our pack but an Alpha's instinct to protect was far greater for the King and given the fact that those cubs are just as old as Izzy—Alpha's sister was clearly enough reason to be angry.

"What are your orders Alpha? Should I contact the neighbouring packs?". Damian at the time was already into full Beta mode ready to take action.

"Stella, I want to know everything about Kira Black, she's the monster who took the cubs, although I'm not sure but clearly she's in cahoots with them, probably after realising that I heard the sound of the tortured cubs, she sat down looking disorganised then threatened me, said something about us stealing a contract from her, I can't believe I thought a criminal was pretty".

"I'll look up everything I can on her right now, no monster will be left unscathed, Alpha". I bowed slightly then picked up my laptop to get to work, I looked up information on her. I was hard at work when Alpha's eyes started glowing, a clear sign that he was having a conversation on the mind link. His eyes stop glowing and two people enter the office, both of which I don't like. The Alpha of Luna pack and his Heir, two egotistical fools who limit all the women in their pack to house chores, service and minimal education.I glare at both of them wondering what those eyesores wanted from Alpha.

"Alpha, Beta, I'm here to finalise our agreement". Of course, the foolish Alpha didn't greet me, he sees women and object created to answer his sole commands, the only reason we havent attacked them is because of the council and the rare artifacts in their packs which people see as sacred, people don't believe in conflict in their pack as their sacred statues might get offended. Bullshit.

"You don't come to my pack lands and ignore my people, Alpha".

Alpha said this to the Alpha of Luna pack and CEO of XZ Corp, and it brought me so much joy. He frowns, squeeze his hand by his side clearly not pleased with having to speak or even greet a lady.

"Evening Delta".

"Evening". I responded with the same tone he gave me. I focused on my laptop and found something shocking. How could I not have known this earlier?

"Alpha, I just found out…

I stop my words and glance at that foolish Alpha, but Alpha waves his hand giving me permission to continue.

"Black Corp was originally supposed to get the contract that Xz corp gave to us, she was basically right to say we stole the contract from her, we also shamelessly asked her to sell materials to us".

Alpha Valen clearly looked shocked then glared at the foolish Alpha.

"I can explain Alpha".

"Go Ahead".

"The contract was originally supposed to go to her because unfortunately she was the best of all the entries but then the incident with my son happened and then I remembered that you have a company in that industry, so I simply passed it on to your company".

He finished then smiled, proud of his stupidity. His son's incident that he referred to was his son sexualy assaulting one of the girls in our pack, the contract was clearly a bribe, how foolish, it wouldn't work on my Alpha. Alpha sighed and faced the heir who was shaking with fear

"I summoned you, you didn't find it necessary to respond to me, you dared to touch one of my people and you think your foolish father can save you".

"Alpha, I would like it if you do not address me in such a rude way, I'm older than you, I've been an Alpha longer, just name your price, I'll get it for you, my daughter has come of age, you can turn her into one of your toys" .

"Alpha doesn't keep or see people as toys and it's bold of you to compare yourself to my Alpha, guards drag the young one to the holding cells, and escort the old one out".

Damian commanded them so effortlessly leaving me overjoyed.

"You are a piece of trash that's only safe because of the council, but that immunity won't last for long, I'll come for you, kick him out now" .

The guards left the room with the struggling Alpha leaving the three of us alone again.

"Stella, although we just found out that we unintentionally stole the contract, that doesn't excuse her evil act. Damian, gather some young wolves, we're leaving for the human world".

"Yes Alpha". We both shouted at the same time, then Damian exited the room to gather the young barely trained wolves, this would be great field experience for them.

"Alpha, What about Izzy?". Izzy had been sleeping with him for the past one week since their parents were in the human world, she can't sleep without him or them. He sighed then decided to take her along, I exited the room to pack my things in preparation of the journey ahead of us, I was so sure it will be easy since it was just a human.

I packed my bags and head to the car , to find Izzy sitting at the front with her brother. I opened my handbag and handed her a pack of chocolates. Damian entered and sat beside me and I snuggle closer to him and eventually drift off to sleep.

I woke up to noise from my surroundings, it was the sound of our tires crushing the twigs of the forest close to 'The haw'— Our very own force field or shield. Alpha suddenly stopped the car and the second car stopped as well, he stepped out of the car turns and addressed us all, he gives a speech to boost the morale of the young ones, and everyone else. He then ended it with a warning, strictly prohibiting us from any attempt to change into our wolves in the human world. Given the size of our wolves, and the rarity of some of our patterns, it was more than enough reason for him to have been worried.

"Our first target is a female named Kira Black, she'll lead us to the rest. Are you ready?"

"Yes Alpha".

We all responded In unison.

"The enemy may be vicious, we must be on guard and be ready for anything, do you understand?".

"Yes Alpha". The words ready for everything made me reach into my handbag and clutch onto the blade I had put wolfsbane on earlier, I quickly hid it in my bag knowing that mate would clearly disapprove of it like he did last time, I sighed, moved closer and placed my head on my mates shoulder while he rubbed my head gently, how sweet. The Alpha entered the car, drove until he stopped directly in front of the haw. He reached into his pocket and brought out a small dagger, he nicked his finger, sprinkled his blood at the haw. His green eyes glowed ever so brightly as they resonated with one another, before it allowed our exit.
