She slapped me..? I stare down at the furious girl in front of me.
"What the heck was that for?"I half growl. Trying not to rub my cheek where it stings I hold her waist with both my hands, glaring down at her. She does look cute when she is mad though...
She looks up at me with almost a righteous glare and huffs, making her cute button nose flare a little.
"Let go of me! Who the heck gave you the right to manhandle me?! Why the heck are you dragging me into whatever the heck is going on between you and Al?"
Dang... she sounds really mad... like Prez when someone hurts his ol' lady mad...I cringe mentally at the thought. This girl is definitely hiding something, but not very well.
"Everywhere knows the MC owns every business in town. So either you are new... or very sheltered, Rebecca."
I took the opportunity to test out her name and somehow it feels more right than ice tea when it is 100° outside. I've got to convince her to be mine.
"Don't use my name, you bastard. And why the heck would the MC care about where I work?"
Because you're 20. And apparently highly independent."We don't like it when kids underage work in places that serve alcohol... not that you're a kid... I know you're 20, but still..."Since when do I stumble over my words?! Get a grip, i***t!
"Well what I do, and where I work is none of your business."
"It is now."
"What?!"
She already seems to hate me. Can't get worse, right? I pick her up and set her on the end of my bike, putting my helmet on her and tightening the strap to be secure.
I hold her still when she tries getting off then I get on in front of her and wrap her arms around my waist. I don't usually ride without my helmet, but I don't have a spare with me and a lady's protection always comes first.
Before she can get off or argue I start up my bike and take off. We are going down the highway at 60 miles and hour, I don't want to scare her by going too fast, as I head to the clubhouse.
I can feel her arms tighten around my middle.Gosh, she feels perfect riding backpack.
I steadily drive us to the clubhouse, not taking any of the turns as fast as I usually do, but I feel her arms tighten around me on a few of them anyway.Must be her first time on a bike, she is a natural.
It takes maybe 20 minutes but I finally pull up to the gate of the compound.
"Taz, is that you? Who's the girl?"
I get off my bike and just let it idle as I brush my hair out of my eyes and look at Hulk. I hook a finger firmly in the back belt loop of her jeans so she won't get off the bike.
"Well, Hulk, this is Al's newest victim. I'm bringing her to Prez so he can decide what to do, personally I think we should keep her around, she is a spitfire under all her quiet calm."
Hulk nods slowly, reading between the lines of my words as he glance at her. He looks her over from helmet to toe and nods firmly.
"She is young. Al is getting sloppy."
I just nod and gesture to the gate, Hulk pushes a button and it opens up. I get on the bike in front of her again, wrapping her arms around my waist when she doesn't move to do it herself.Safety before feelings, she can be mad at me for all I care if it means she won't go rolling off onto the gravel.
"Hold on, Sugar. Quarter mile till we get to the clubhouse."
I tell her as I rev my bike and start moving again. She must feel the unsteadiness of the gravel under my tires because she tightens her hold on my waist by a lot.
Finally we get to the clubhouse and I feel her grip on me let up as she is in awe of the building. It probably does look impressive to anyone else who doesn't see it everyday. Including the basement it has 6 stories, a full wrap around porch, tiers of landscaping that were designed by the Prez's grandmother, a large in ground pool in the back, and land for as far as the eyes can see with a few buildings, sheds, houses, and even a basket ball court in view.
I help her off my bike once I shut it off and take the helmet off her, grinning at her helmet hair.I don't think she knows how gorgeous she is.

I can't stop staring at the building. It looks bigger than a mansion... like a castle without the towers or classic castle vibe... Yeah cuz now you totally don't sound crazy. I think to myself as Taz gently unclips the strap and takes off the helmet from my head.
I will give him credit... for a brute he is at least gentle. Doesn't matter though, I am not going to let him drag me around like a ragdoll. I have to get back home.
"Like what you see, Sugar?"
His deep voice sends goosebumps down my arms. Why does he have to have the most infuriatingly attractive accent ever?
"It's big."I say trying to sound as unimpressed as possible but he just has a hearty laugh and wraps his arm around my waist. His strong arm flexes as he gently pushes me forward.Jeez... you'd think it has been years since I've been with a man... well, technically I guess I've only been with a boy. A lying, cheating coward.
"Did you hear me, Sugar?"
I look up at him slightly confused. Did he say something I didn't hear?
"Hey... you okay, Sugar?"
He voice went soft, a gentle tone to it I never expected from a man like him. I makes me want to breakdown and let him shoulder the world for me...No. You can't trust men, Rebecca. You know this. Don't call for this man's Southern manners.
I look up into his concerned deep brown eyes, the golden flecks not as prominent in the shade of the porch. Why does he look genuinely concerned for me? This is the guy who manhandled me... he can't possibly have a soft side... can he?
"I'm fine."
"No you're not. What were you thinking about?"
"Excuse me?!" How the heck could he know I'm not fine?!
"Don't snap at me. I just want to know what made you suddenly tense. What were you thinking about?"
"So I don't have a right to be uncomfortable being forced around and moved about by a stranger?!"
"No, that not what I meant... you just... you were fine a second ago, then you weren't. Did I say something wrong? remind you of something by accident?"
"None of your business."
He growls softly under his breath frustration making his neck and jaw tense. He is really handsome when he is protective... Don't fall for it! Get your head on straight, you have a freaking kid at home for crying out loud!
I snap at myself in my head as he gently drags me inside and up a flight of stairs. I resist a little, but he has no problem at all when he bends down and puts me over his shoulder, carrying me up the stairs, down a hall and into a huge bedroom.
"Put me down!"
"I'm going to get Prez. Stay in here. You try leaving and I will know."
I feel fear rush through me for a second as he gently tosses me down onto the giant bed. Did he just kidnap me? But I have to get home...
