My mind is foggy as I try to peel my eyes open. The blinding light forces them shut again. I open them again to a dreary room and blink, blink, blink again. My eyes slowly start to adjust. A light bulb swings back and forth in front of me, it’s light dominant in the dingy room. I try to think about where I am but my mind remains blank.
“Hello?” I try to say but it comes out dry and hoarse. My throat clogs up and I begin to cough violently. Finally I manage to control the cough and take a few deep breaths. I try to stand up and my legs are shaky. I notice that I am currently only wearing a T-shirt and my underpants, my legs are bare and smeared in dirt and grazes.
