Echo is purring ‘mate’ in my head as I lock eyes with Lila. I am completely overwhelmed by the pull of the mate bond and don’t even realise my feet are moving. As I get within arms reach of Lila she rushes into my embrace. I bury my face in her neck and inhale.
‘Mate! We found mate!’ Echo is going crazy in my head and my eyes flicker between colour as he fights for control.
