As Grace lay on the pavement, her knee throbbing with pain, she felt a rush of adrenaline and shock coursing through her veins. Blinking back tears, she glanced up to see a man stepping out of the sleek BMW that had nearly collided with her moments ago.
He was breathtakingly handsome, with chiselled features, piercing blue eyes, and a rugged yet refined charm. His tousled dark hair framed his face, and his jaw was set with concern as he hurried towards her, his footsteps echoing against the pavement.
"Are you alright?" he asked, his voice tinged with a slight French accent, as he knelt beside her, his eyes scanning her for any signs of injury.
Grace nodded weakly, managing a small smile despite the pain. "I-I'm fine, really," she assured him, her voice trembling slightly.
