Chapter 15
Grace cried out in sleep, her legs thrashing under the bedcovers, while she was drenched in her own sweat as she watched a man’s face, oh so close to her own, look at her like she was the devil incarnate, with utter disgust in his eyes and so much hate. “No-please...Alessandro...” She begged, as the opulent background of a restaurant slowly turned to dust right in front of eyes. ‘He was leaving! God! He was leaving her again!’
“Sandro, pl-please...” She called out in the dark, but no reply came, until she came awake and found herself in her own bed, alone, wincing with pain in her lower abdomen.
The baby was restless again tonight and was kicking her non-stop, but Grace was thankful for that pain too. At least, it rescued her from the horrendous reoccurring dream that hadn’t
