Liam
“Liam.”
The sound of Llona’s voice drifted through my mind. So soothing. So comforting. I could listen to her say my name forever.
“Damnit, Liam, wake up.”
I frowned. This didn’t sound like the Llona I knew. Something was wrong.
I attempted to open my eyes, but when pain shot through my body at the effort, I remembered what happened. I’d been with Llona at the rear of house when Ivy had called in a huge storm, including the wind. The scents it had carried with it is what had alerted me to the approaching danger. Vehicles, dozens of them far away, were approaching fast. Because of the chaos, there hadn’t been time to tell anyone. I used the distraction of the first lightning bolt striking the ground to transform into wind.
