She couldn’t believe that she had done that, had kissed Lorcan like they were the only two people on this planet. It had been a spur of the moment thing, all she had thought about was disappearing into his kiss – letting the world fade away, and with it all her problems and troubles. For those few moments, it had seemed to work. It was like all the burdens that had been weighing down on her had suddenly lifted, like she could finally breathe again. And then it had all come rushing back as soon as they had disconnected, multiplied tenfold by the guilt that had now begun to haunt her. She couldn’t believe that she had kissed him.
