"What the h.ell," I whisper yell at Ameilia, because I went straight to her desk as soon as I got to the office.
"I'm so sorry," she says, grabbing my hand and ushering my into my office before closing the door. "I had no idea Raven. He just came in this morning and told me that everything was set for the hearing tomorrow, and then he gave me a bunch of stuff to do for some other case he's apparently working on. I haven't had a single minute to even text you. But he just dropped by to grab the files I prepared for him and then he left. You actually just missed him by about five minutes. Anyway, I don't even know who set the hearing up for him. I'm the lead paralegal on this case, that's something he normally would delegate to me."
