"Look James, I don't f.ucking like this one bit. How the h.ell are we supposed to get you off when we can't exactly send the cops after those dumb motherf.uckers? What's our play here?"
"Luke, I already told you this guy is good. He's the best money can buy, it's why the club lawyer recommended him."
"Fine but," we're interrupted when the door opens and the lawyer walks in with a smoking hot assistant. F.ucking hell, jet black hair, ocean blue eyes, I normally like when my women show a little skin but this power suit she's got on has my c.ock hardening under the table.
"James, didn't we talk about this?" the lawyer says.
"Talk about what?"
"Having another person here while we're talking, how did you even manage to get him here?"
James just shrugs and I sit back in the chair and cross my arms. Why doesn't this p.rick want me here?
"Look I want Luke here with me, he's my number two I trust him implicitly."
"Mr. Collins," the hot assistant says stepping forward, "I'm sure your friend here-"
"Brother," James interrupts gruffly.
"Brother," she says giving him a quick nod. "I'm sure your brother is as trustworthy as they come, but that's not the problem."
"Then what is?" I ask. She looks at me for all of one second before turning her attention back to James.
"The problem is that having a third party here interferes with attorney-client privilege, anything you say to us today can't be protected from disclosure during your trial."
"Wouldn't having an assistant here already interfere with the privilege then?" I ask. The lady's head snaps towards me so quickly I'm surprised it doesn't break straight off her neck.
"Okay gentlemen, Raven here is correct, and the privilege would still apply with her here because she is a lawyer and is working on this case with me." That would explain the daggers she's throwing at me. She must be pissed I thought she was an assistant and not a lawyer.
"And how much more will this cost me?" James asks.
"Don't worry about that s.hit," I snarl at him. He knows the club can afford these fees, and he knows we'll pay any amount whatsoever to get him the f.uck out of here.
"I joined Thomas here voluntarily so you won't be charged anymore than the usual fee."
"Correct," the other lawyer adds, "now that we have that figured out, I would really like to ask Mr...." he trails off looking at me.
"Just Luke."
"Luke then, I would really like to ask you to leave."
"Not happening," James says, "I don't think we'll be talking about anything here that can't be discussed at the trial anyway. Aren't we going to be trying to get me out of this f.ucking place while we wait for the trial?"
"Yes, but-"
"Nah, no buts, we aren't talking about anything that needs to be hidden today."
"Okay fine, let's get down to business. I'm going to have Raven here file a motion to set bail. We're going to need to prove ties to the community, that you're not a flight risk, that you have minor priors." I sit there listening to everything he's saying, James would have had bail if he had been anybody but him. If he wasn't the president of the MC there's no way they'd be keeping him in here.
"I obviously have ties to the community, I'm not f.ucking going anywhere. I'm not some piece of s.hit coward I'll face this and I'll beat it because I didn't kill anybody." I hold in a snort since apparently anything that happens in here could be used in his trial. While it's true he didn't kill this particular woman, saying he didn't kill anybody is a bit laughable.
"Would you be willing to wear an ankle monitor?" Raven asks.
"F.uck that," I say angrily, I don't want these a.ssholes monitoring his every move.
"Calm down," James tells me, "if it gets me out of here I'll do it.
"Great," she tells him and writes it down while the other lawyer's phone goes off.
"Please excuse me for a minute, I really need to take this. Raven why don't you continue discussing the terms of bail with them."
"Of course," she says, watching as he leaves then turning her attention back to us. "Mr. Collins, we are going to have a few different options for requesting bail here. So I'd like to know if you are prepared to offer cash, go through a bondsman, or there is also the option to put a bond on any property you might have."
"Let me stop you there," I say, giving her my panty melting grin, "we can do a cash bail, there's no need for the other options."
"Are you speaking on behalf of Mr. Collins?" She says coldly, raising her eyebrow and looking down her nose at me.
"He is, though he doesn't need to."
"Okay, well then if this was all we had to discuss today I think we're all set here. I'll get this motion filed, and hopefully we'll get you out of here very soon Mr. Collins."
"No need to rush off gorgeous, I think your partner there is still on the phone."
"My name is Raven, not gorgeous," she says as she stands up putting her papers in her briefcase. "Mr. Collins, it was nice to meet you. I'm sure I'll be seeing you again soon. Hopefully alone," she stresses that last word before getting up and walking out.
"What the f.uck is up with that b.itch? She ran out of here like there was a fire." James just laughs at me, "what is so f.ucking funny?"
"Pretty boy finally found a girl that doesn't fall on her knees and beg him to be f.ucked, it's funny that's all."
"Who wants to f.uck an ice princess anyway? She'd probably just lie there like a cold fish."
"Mmhmm, you trying to convince me or yourself?"
"F.uck off."
There's a knock on the door and Jimmy, one of the guards we know pokes his head in. "Luke, shift change is coming up, you're going to have to get out of here."
"Alright man, give me one more minute."
"Just one," he says before closing the door behind him.
"We'll have you out of here soon Prez."
"I know you will brother, you keeping everyone in line?"
"Not that anyone needs it, but yeah. We're all on high alert, and no one is stupid enough to do anything that could blow back on you right now."
"Alright, now get out of here, and try not to be too disappointed that your charms are no longer working." I flip him off and walk out the door, who needs a stuck-up b.itch like that? I'm sure I can find a honey to work this energy out on.
