Chapter 8 - Luke

1331 Words
"Damn," David whistles as he comes down to stand next to me after Raven walks into the court house. "That woman is fine as f***k. She the one that turned you down? Maybe I should shoot my shot, that would be the f***k of the year." "Watch it," I growl. David gives me a strange look, probably because I just sounded like a God d.damn animal. "She's the Prez's lawyer, she's off limits." "Oh, now she's off limits? I think you're just jealous she might want to give a real man a try," he says while he grabs his junk. "Get your hands off your d.ick before I throw-up. I just figured she probably needs to stay focused, that's all." "Right, okay a.sshole, keep her for yourself...for now. I don't mind sloppy seconds." He's smart enough to run back up the stairs towards the rest of the group, because I'm about to knock his teeth down his throat. I don't know why I said that, I've made it perfectly clear I was trying to f***k her, and it's not like my brothers and I haven't shared women before. I guess the thought of sharing this one just p.isses me off. Maybe it's just because she's so f.ucking hot I want her before the others try to get her. I follow after David a few minutes later and we talk about some of our businesses and s.hit to keep ourselves occupied. After about an hour Raven finally comes out of the front doors, and heads right for us. "You have good news for me beautiful?" I ask, giving her my most charming smile. She barely acknowledges me, just gives me a tight-lipped smile in return and nods before taking a step closer. f***k she smells good. "Bail was granted," she's interrupted by the hoots and hollers of the club, but continues on once everyone calms down a bit. "Bail is set at $500,000 and he has to wear an ankle monitor and surrender any passport he might have. Ameilia and I will be heading straight to the prison, I want to oversee everything and make sure he is processed out safely. As soon as they get the money and the paperwork is completed, he'll be able to leave. Will the bail be a problem?" "I can recommend some bail bondsmen if it will be," the mousy girl next to her, must be Ameilia, says. "Nah, no problem. We'll free up the cash and head straight there." "Great, I will see you there then." She nods again then turns and walks away talking hurriedly to her friend. "Alright boys, let's do this. Jack," I bark, calling our treasurer over. "Did you hear her? We need $500,000 for bail, we got that?" "Yeah, I'll go get a bank check now. I'll bring a cage, if you want to have Matt drive the Prez's bike up then he can come back with me." "You think the Prez won't rip me a new one if I let a prospect ride his bike," I can't help but laugh. "Normally I would offer to ride it and have Matt bring the cage, but I don't want anyone else dealing with the check." "Okay, fine," I sigh, I know d.amn well how neurotic Jack is over our Club funds, but it has always been a good thing for us. "I'll have Matt ride my f.ucking bike up and I'll take the Prez his. Alright boys, let's ride out and get our Prez back where he belongs!" We head back to the club house to get the car for Jack and so I can get the Prez's bike. I hand my keys, unwillingly, to Matt. "I'll take care of her." "You f.uckin better," I say a threat in my tone of voice. "Because if you get so much as a scratch on my bike you're out. Got me?" "Yeah, yes, of course." We all get on our bikes, get in position, and head towards the bank. Once Jack gets the check, which only takes half an hour. We're on our way and I'm feeling a sense of elation that we're bringing James home. I don't like him being there where anything can happen and he doesn't have the club at his back. The man is a beast and he can take care of himself, but he's not a superhero. He can't fight off an entire mob by himself. I shake my head, trying to get those thoughts to leave me. Because he's getting out, and he's not f.ucking going back. It takes us a while to get there, but I know none of the brothers care, because there's nothing we love more than the open road. But once we get there I can tell that something is wrong because that woman that was with Raven comes running over as soon as we stop, and she seemed like someone that was a little too scared of us to do that. "Thank God you guys are here, what the h.ell took you so long?!" She yells above the noise of our bikes. "Calm down, we're here now sweet thing." I hear one of the guys say, but she ignores him looking at all of us until she spots me. "Luke right?" "Yeah, what's going on?" "Raven is inside, she's been in there for forty-five minutes already, but they won't tell her anything about Mr. Collins. She's not really allowed to be with him in the prison, but she's been waiting at the intake window, asking how long things will take, asking how he's doing, all that jazz and they won't answer her or tell her anything. She wanted me to come get you as soon as you got here." "Alright, let's go and get this s.hit over with. I want my President home tonight." "Want me to come," Lucky asks, getting off his bike and walking towards us. "Nah, wait here for now. I'll text you if I need you." I follow Ameilia towards the prison and we're stopped by the guard on duty. "He's here to pick up an inmate who is being released. I'm the paralegal on the case and the attorney I'm working with is in there waiting for us." She explains when he asks us why we're here. "That's all fine and good ma'am, but the furthest you can go is, well right here. This is the designated release area so you're in the right spot." "What no," she says sounding annoyed, "I was just in there with Raven Westgate, the attorney for James Collins." "Ma'am I don't care if you're the Queen of England, you cannot enter this facility to escort a prisoner out." "We are not here just to escort him out we're-" "What's your name?" I ask, cutting Ameilia off because this f.ucker is pissing me off. "What's it to you," he sneers as he looks me over, pausing on the patch on my vest. "Humor me." "I don't think so pretty boy." "Listen," I say stepping closer to him and hoping Ameilia won't be paying close attention to this. "My Club and I don't have a problem with you, yet. But you keep interfering with me getting my President out of there and we're going to have a big f.ucking problem. And I don't think you want that kind of problem, do you?" "Even if I wanted to," he says clearing his throat and looking at the ground, "I can't let you in." "And why's that?" "It's a, it's um, policy. I could lose my job." "You're going to lose a lot more than your job, if you don't let us in right f.ucking now. You get me?" I'm about to give this guy a taste of what I mean, when the door behind him opens and Raven steps out with James. Bruises on his face, a cut on hers, and his arm around her shoulder like she's helping him walk; I see red.
