What the hell was that?
I couldn't stop staring down at my hand, even when the professor walked in.
The spark when our fingers touched caught me off guard, but it must have just been static electricity or something like that.
Still, the intensity was stronger than any static sensation I'd ever noticed before.
I kicked myself for saying anything aloud about it, especially since the professor showed up as it just meant my words came off as cringe.
I wasn't sure what had happened to Luci during that phone call, but she was beyond distracted since before we entered the classroom.
I felt bad that I had to nudge her during roll call. I almost hadn't, but I knew something must have been off for her to not respond.
