Tara Blakewood POV
“You can think of me as your dad!”
Kaiden said, waiting for my reply.
“What?”
“You’re my friend’s daughter. He sent you to me because he trusts me. Instead of saying ‘Sir,’ just call me Daddy!”
I didn’t think much. I just found myself nodding in agreement as he left my room with a smile. I thought about taking a shower, but I was too tired to move.
I walked toward a door to check if it was a bathroom. I stripped off my underwear, imagining him walking in and seeing me like this, exposed but I didn’t care.
I stepped into the shower, scrubbed my body thoroughly, rinsed off the soap, and stepped out. I grabbed a towel, wrapped it around my body, and used a smaller towel to dry my hair.
I was going to wear underwear, but it bothers me while sleeping, so I left it on the edge of the bed and grabbed a shirt to wear.
I forgot to turn off the light. I got up to switch it off but got distracted by the balcony. My staring was interrupted by a sound a little scary, but for me, it was a lot. Something moved in the bushes by the lake. It was an owl.
I closed the balcony and the light and headed back to bed, but the sound didn’t stop. It felt scarier now because the room was dark.
Should I go to Kaiden? He said I could come if I needed anything. But what did I need? Should I tell him I heard an owl inside the room, or that I’m scared and don’t want to sleep alone?
I placed my fingers on the door several times, knocking repeatedly, but there was no answer. I walked back to my room, standing in front of the door.
I ran back to Kaiden’s door and pounded on it.
“Kaiden… Mr. Kaiden, please! Something’s going to eat me! Nooo, please!”
I screamed as I heard the sound again, louder this time. My tears had already left tracks on my cheeks.
Suddenly, by luck, he opened the door quickly. I rushed in, collapsing into his chest, crying.
“Mr… Kaiden, there’s something making noise downstairs, and I also heard an owl.”
I lifted my head at the end of my words and saw him the most beautiful sight I’ve seen yet. His eyes half-open, hair messy.
He was bare-chested, lowering his head to look at me. His broad chest, some tattoos from his hand creeping onto his chest and neck.
“What is it?”
Even though his tone carried annoyance, there was a hint of sleep in it. I pulled away as I realized what I had hugged.
“There’s a scary sound in my room,” I said, avoiding his bare torso.
I heard his mutter a sound that reassured me.
“Don’t be afraid. I’m here.”
He said, reaching for the door to close it, then stood, looking me up and down. I think he noticed I wasn’t wearing anything under my shirt. That was really embarrassing.
“You can sleep with me.”
I stared at him, incredulous. He was asking me to sleep with him? Even I didn’t understand what was happening…
“Or you can go to the other room.”
He moved to the big bed in the center of the room, lay on his stomach, covering himself with the blanket.
I was about to return to my room, but I stopped when I heard the sound again. I looked at the couch.
“Don’t think about sleeping there.”
It was him speaking as I looked at him.
I guess I was obliged now. He returned to lying on his stomach. I walked slowly toward the big bed, sat at the edge. I wasn’t afraid just embarrassed by him and by Ethan. I felt like I was betraying him. I didn’t even want to lay my feet near him.
I lay on the farthest side, covering myself with the blanket, knowing my shirt would rise during sleep.
Seconds passed before I felt movement behind me. Then my body was pulled back, pressed against something solid, it was his chest.
“It’s hard for me not to come closer when you’re like this.”
He whispered in my ear, his forbidden breath brushing every side of my neck through the wide collar of his shirt.
This wasn’t right, but at the same time, I liked the closeness, the intimate embrace around my waist.
I was aware enough to know I was engaged.. that this was forbidden between me and a married man.
My eyes relaxed as he let his warm breath scatter across my neck. His nose brushed my hair, down to my exposed neck. He inhaled my scent—his cologne mixed with my perfume.
“You steal from my things, little thief. You’ll pay for what you’ve taken.”
As he said this, he pulled the blanket aside. I didn’t feel cold, thanks to the warm room or perhaps some other heat.
Without resistance, he took both my hands, holding them with his left hand above my head, and positioned his lower body right over my femininity.
He traced his fingers along my skin, sending shivers down my body, moving strands of hair aside. His fingers didn’t stop, creating imaginary lines all the way to my cheeks.
“This is never allowed, that Mr. Kaiden would know…”
I spoke, keeping my eyes on him. Heat rose to my cheeks as I talked.
He leaned closer to my face. There was nowhere to run and I didn’t want to.
“Convince me you don’t like my closeness and don’t want this, Tara. Then I’ll move away.”
He said, pressing a long kiss onto my right cheek, sending sparks down my stomach.
“I don’t like childish kisses, but I’ll make you a little exception.”
His lean over me made our breaths mingle, his manhood pressing against my forbidden area. The friction sent sparks of pleasure through me, making me bring my legs closer instinctively.
“Has your fiancé ever touched you like this?”
I shook my head. “No, he hasn’t.”
I tried to move out of embarrassment and tension, but he stopped me.
“If you don’t want trouble, little one… don’t move.”
“Use your tongue.”
A strange, new sensation spread through me, pulling my heart toward him, ignoring my mind’s protests. He leaned closer, his nose brushing me. My breath left me in heavy, restless gasps.
The friction between us sent delicious pain into my femininity.
I could feel him.. his bare flesh pressed against me. No underwear. I could feel every detail, hidden only by his thin shirt.
“What’s wrong, little one, so restless?”
He removed his hand from beside my head, placing it on my waist, caressing me intimately. It made me want him more, but I didn’t admit it.
“Nothing, Mr. Kaiden… just stay away.”
I don’t know why Ethan came to mind. He didn’t deserve it. Neither did Lara, his wife. Even if he didn’t care, I did and I was certain she didn’t deserve him.
“Convince me you don’t want me near you.”
He was really skilled with words, testing my patience and I’m not patient.
“Yes, I don’t want this forbidden closeness.”
From his sly smile, I knew he could tell I was lying.
“Soon… I’ll make you fall for these touches, the closeness you call forbidden will make you reach heaven through hell.”
He let go of my hands above my head, removed his hand from my waist the one giving heavenly touches and moved behind me. He wrapped his strong arms around my waist, covering us both with the blanket.
“Sleep well, little one.”
No matter what he said, even ordinary words felt better than Ethan’s, whose talk often felt crude.
I closed my eyes, ready to be taken into his world a beautiful world with Kaiden, even as my body ached from the pleasure piercing me.
