Princess Venia found this state to be inexplicably pertubing. She just could not understand why there was no dawn and unfortunately she had realized that that was going to be the case for quite some time. This was much scarier than the thought of having to bear the Beast King during the day when he can see her clearly and she can't hide anything from her. Maybe he had not taken her to another dimension without day or the sun, maybe it had even been as long as she was thinking it was, maybe it had only been two hours or three. So, it was nighttime.
